This program is not good for older children. I think this agency is really unprofessional and not true to their word. I would not recommend this program to anyone. This is suppose to be a program which helps decrease behaviors, balances thinking and increase a child ability to socialize and communicate better with others. I was honest from the beginning about all of my son's behaviors and needs, this agency should have be honest about what they could or could not do to help him and not cause undo harm. But instead I was lied to and dragged along about why he was not scheduled. Staff at brain balance are not equipped to work with all children with different backgrounds and levels as they say.
This company saved my family. Our daughter was 8 yrs old. Has ADHD and ODD. Oppositional defiance disorder I was recommended by a friend who went through the program. It's time consuming, but you get what you put into it. I thought my days with her were never going to get better. Her counselor at the time suggested mental hospitalization. Brain Balance evaluated her and said "these are the symptoms she's having, this is why. This is what we can do to help her improve, if you work with our program, you WILL see results" a company GUARANTEEING results. They were right. I feel like I got my little girl back. I'm constantly recommending this company when I see fit. They are family to me.
There are remarkable people behind this exceptional organization who have the ability to help people in ways that are truly measurable. Our family spent 1 full year with the Brain Balance program. All the driving, time and expenses were totally worth it. We experienced huge leaps in our learning capabilities, we are healthier and we've been able to navigate the challenges of life with one another much better. I could go on & on. You'll just have to take a step of faith and make the commitment! Thank you Lynn!
Brain balance is such an awesome program for individuals of any age! The coaches rock and the kids have so much fun!
We attended Brain Balance in Mequon over the summer of 2020. They were amazing at providing a very clean and covid friendly space. I felt completely safe attending in the midst of the pandemic with their health/safety protocols. After doing an initial assessment and realizing our daughter was falling further and further behind developmentally, we made the commitment to attend in person sessions. Since we live quite far from the nearest clinic 3 hours round trip it wasn't an easy commitment. I feel like I finally have my daughter back. Her academics improvement alone would have made it worth it but our home is much calmer since she is better able to regulate herself during stressful situations. I like that Brain balance utilizes 3 different components to a treatment plan including a very healthy diet, home exercises and in clinic work which really seem to address root causes. I had previously researched other alterative treatment non-pharma plans for ADHD and many were similar in cost but didn't really involve a whole body approach. Give it a shot and sign up for an initial assessment. You won't regret making this decision for your child.
My son has struggled socially and in school for as long as we can remember. As we approached high school we knew something needed to be done to help him with his struggles. We had him tested in school and at the doctor and their resolution was medication. We tried he, he did not like how it made him feel and found that he was throwing away the pills. Honestly, I was not a believer, I do believe in medicine, and until the evaluation was done on my son, and I could see the deficiencies on paper, I was a skeptic. After seeing where my son needed work and allowing Brain Balance to fix those deficiencies, I am now a believer. This program has changed our lives, especially his. His has blossomed into a student striving for A’s, and athlete, musician, and a social butterfly. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not magic, it takes work, and home dedication with meals, exercises, and support, but it will work.... he proved that....
