Challenging place. First opening game of the season, not quite advisable to join. Not because of the place, but because of the weather. It’s too windy. I remember my Chicago experience. Better be fully geared. Place is wonderful, parking space is spacious they have cafeteria and small store inside for gold related gear.
My favorite local golf course. Very affordable, friendly staff, well maintained for a municipal course. Greens have been recently redone with new mower, rolling faster and more true. Beautiful setting and well laid out course. No gimmicky holes some may call No 5 dogleg left a little tricky, but not gimmicky.Visited onWeekday
We play at Brambleton often. Always a great experience. Staff is very friendly, facilities are clean, carts are in great shape, full water stations and porta potty’s are always clean for a lady golfer this is important. Our most recent round the fairways were very wet with lots of puddles. It was hazardous just walking to the ball and there were no cart rules though we were kind, which can’t help maintain the condition of the course. The other thing to note was after the 2 men in our group teed off on hole 17 we were asked to pick up the pace at the women’s tee box, which felt unfair. We were keeping pace and able to see the group ahead of us at every hole. It does not make any sense for us to be asked to pick up the pace with only 2 holes remaining and no group behind us waiting. Of course the group ahead pushed forward just a bit, hole 17 is a PAR 3. The last two holes felt rushed and were not very enjoyable and as expected we were able to see the group in front of us again from the tee box on 18. I understand it’s a tough task to keep the pace moving and you have a job to do, but speeding up the last two holes is not going to correct the backup in the middle of the course. Last thing…where is the beverage cart when you need it? It was HOT. Would have loved some ice :
I've been playing this course since it opened. It's a great value. Well maintained, the greens roll true no break Brambleton!, and the people are very nice.
Convenient and affordable course. Has full 18 hole course, driving range, putting green, chipping green, pro shop, small Cafe and outdoor sitting place. The customer service is top notch. Very helpful and courteous. Course itself is not that difficult except for couple of holes. I am not a very good golfer but didn't find much trouble playing this course. The course is very close to Brambleton town center and if you ever want to play a quick round or hit balls at driving range, this is your place.
Very nice course. Fairways and greens are well kept. The green fee is very reasonable but for me the location is out of my way.
I grew up golfing here every summer with my dad and have some great memories of this place. I went back for the first time in over a decade in April of ‘23. The course is relatively forgiving. It’s not super complicated like some corses that feel like the designer had his wife stolen by a golfer and he wants revenge. It is one of the least expensive places in the area, but at $70 for 18 with a cart I wouldn’t call it cheap. When I played there was one hole under construction with a pin in the fairway 75-ish yards from the green, which was fine, but I did feel like I got robbed of a hole with that much distance between the temp flag and the green. The biggest issue is that the other 17 greens were all punched a few weeks ago I think and still haven’t healed. That wouldn’t be a problem but I didn’t see any mention of it when I booked my tee time. For that reason I withhold one star from my review and stick it over the snowman on my scorecard.
The course is in great shape! One thing I have to say is everyone and I mean everyone that I came in contact with that works here was extremely friendly. Hands down the nicest staff of any golf course in the D.C. region. Well worth the visit you won’t be disappointed.
So disappointed. Had a negative experience a time before and decided to give it a shot again. Paid $32 for 7 holes of golf. We teed off at 6:30 and carts had to be in by 8:15 which was fair but they stacked everyone back to back. At one point There was 4 foursomes on hole 6. Gave the club house a call when this was happening and they said they would send someone out to fix it. They did nothing. Played this course all the time growing up but doubt I’ll ever return.
Very nice course but water coolers were either empty or had lukewarm water, plus the clubhouse won't give you ice....it was 95 degrees today!!!! Why won't you take care of your paying customers?
