Park is friendly to responsible UTV and ATV riders and there is trail access right across the highway. I rented a tent cabin and it was everything I hoped for but more! Beautiful setup and Chase and Sheryl were more than helpful with recommendations for fun sites in the area and activities. I was also informed of weather conditions and tips when I was worried about traveling over the passes which was above and beyond helpful. I would definitely recommend staying here and plan to again in the future. Fabulous warm and friendly experience, traveling alone I felt completely safe.
Great campground. We spent 6 weeks here and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff is very helpful and super friendly. The large campsites along with the view of the lake and snowcapped mountains added to our pleasurable experience. It was a plus being able to keep our boat in a slip. The day before we left, we caught and released 22 fish up to 2.25 pounds. There is a lot to do in the Bridgeport area and we are looking forward to returning and camping at the Bridgeport Reservoir Marina and Campground again.
I booked a few campsites here for me and some friends. When we arrived we were so disappointed to find the tiniest campsites ever, just a little patch of dust with a fence on one side and zero shade. And one was half flooded from the water spigot. The sites were nothing like what the website showed apparently those were already booked but we had no way to know we were not getting those. We ended up camping somewhere else because these sites were so depressing. Even though I had been told on the phone there would be a half refund for any unused reservations, I was not given any refund on the 3 sites we had checked in on, even for the future nights after we cancelled. What a bummer. 0/10, would never come back here.
I had a great experience on the phone. I called up and was met by a lovely lady who answered all of my questions, of which there were many, and she was so nice throughout the entire conversation. We are booked to stay at the location this summer and I'll update my review accordingly.
The check in lady is nasty, rude, and aggressive, even coming to my rv to yell at us more. We reserved 6 full hook up spots together 6 months prior. When we arrived she did not have the spots we reserved and put us separated in non hook up spots with no refund or reduced amount. The spots were small, level and clean yet our view was of a junk yard broken vehicles and appliances, piles of scrap metal and wood. The water is nice just bring good bug spray. The mosquitoes are abundant. The rest of the staff was very pleasant but she was awful throughout our stay. Noteworthy details: The spots are sandwiched between the reservoir and a trash yard.
Anti-Burning Man location. They were charging $44 for a slot with full RV hookups. $30 for a RV spot with water and free holding tank dumping. But the unfriendly lady asked specifically if I was coming from Burning Man and told me it would cost $50 just to empty my tanks. I continued down the road to Lee Vining and found a friendly place that didn’t discriminate and charged a reasonable $15 to empty my tanks. Give this place a pass…
Great little private campground right on the reservoir. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The area is beautiful and very close to Bodie State Park.Service: 5/5
I just had the absolute worst experience on the phone when I called in to ask a simple question. I was met with an angry gentleman answering the phone, and once I said that I had a question, he cut me off and said "I'm only going to say this once, no boats are launching off my ramp, no boats are available for rental, and no campsites are available. Goodbye" I interrupted him before he hung up, as none of those were even close to my question. When I asked him if they had public parking, or if he knew of any close by, he angrily asked me "you're not staying at my campground and you're not parking here." I was fuming mad, and was going to give him a piece of my mind, but decided to post it across all social media instead. I'll never stay here, and I'll make sure none of my family, friends, or acquaintances ever stay here either.
First time up here to this reservoir and campground. Very friendly. Staff. Feels very safe and definitely quiet. Nearby activities: Fishing, hiking, off-road ATVs.
They are terrible on the phone. So mean. I called to ask a question and the guy who answered was so rude. It made me so mad that I felt I should share it online so people know to avoid this place. If you're looking for a vacation spot that is dull, uncomfortable, and lacks any sense of hospitality or customer service, then Bridgeport Reservoir Campground and Marina is the perfect destination for you
