Bright Futures Growth and Development Center (BFGDC) services Pre- Kindergarten through adolescence. Our center provides high quality preparatory schooling to pre-kindergartners as well as after-school instruction to school age children in the Richmond and surrounding community.
The first few years of life are critical for a child's cognitive development and learning. Evaluations of well-run prekindergarten programs have found that children exposed to high-quality early education were less likely to drop out of school, repeat grades, or need special education, compared with similar children who did not have such exposure. In addition communities today, 15.1 million children take care of themselves after the school day ends. It has been documented that parents would allow their child to participate in after school programs were some to exist that not only soundly structured, but could meet the struggles of today’s financial constraints most families seem to find themselves.
BFGDC has uniquely positioned itself to fulfill both needs. We have tailored a two tier program addressing the needs of Pre-K to adolescence. BFGDC uses current methods to assist in early childhood development, nutrition and creative arts. Were current school day curricula are lacking, we strive.
Bright Futures is a non profit growth and development center serving students from pre-kindergarten through the young adult years. We provide a preparatory curriculum embracing the fine arts to enhance California’s educational frameworks. Our goal is to enrich our students through the formative years and to awaken their hidden talent that lies within.
Bright Futures Growth and Development Center inspires and empowers children and youth with educational excellence, positive reinforcement, and a sense of family. Our arts program provides a creative outlet for children to achieve freedom of expression through music, dance, and drama. From its early beginnings, Bright Futures provides personal, educational and professional development to all of our students, to nourish their value for self, education, and community. We inspire to inspire, providing a thorough approach of academic support, enrichment and social activities to cultivate the community leaders of tomorrow.
