Will not be returning. Have been going to that office for years. Recently they cancelled my appointments without informing me until I showed up. The have been without a hygienist since COVID so don’t bother trying to get your teeth cleaned. Most recently, I had appointments for myself and son. My son was seen over an hour past his appointment time and it wasn’t until I asked the clerk what was the delay. When finally seen by the dentist, she spent a total of 2 minutes with him then wanted us to schedule another appointment to do any needed work, of which I think she was trying to add things that weren’t truly needed. I never was even seen and said I would reschedule. This office used to be great when it was under different management and personnel. The personnel today has definitely changed the practice for the worst. Needless to say, I have already scheduled appointments for myself and son at another dentist office.
I was a patient since late 2022 in the Mentor office with a toothache needing a root canal. Ended up getting lots of other work done that I needed also. The staff is very friendly and EXCELLENT customer service. Dr. Chane is the best dentist I have ever been to. And I have been to many over the years. She is professional and friendly. She is very meticulous and careful when working on your teeth. She truly cares and wants you to be happy with the results. She went above and beyond to get the best results possible for me. As well as everyone who assisted. It's very clean and sanitary. I would recommend and have to anyone in need of dental work.
To be honest I was a little taken aback by my first visit to Bright Now dental. It is the only local dental office covered by our supposedly high-end Cleveland Clinic insurance, And here are a few key features I have to list just to have this information publicly available to others so they can make informed decisions; They don't have a dental hygienist on staff who offers regular cleanings, So regular cleanings that one might expect with every dental visit whether there's a basic evaluation or you're having specific work done, Don't exist here. You either book appointments for medical cleanings, or you come in for an evaluation where the x-ray mouth bite guard you put in is quite painful and uncomfortable. The approach of the staff is honestly unprofessional, when I communicated some pain with the mouth bite guard when I was having 16 x-rays taken, the dental assistant operating the machine looked in my mouth and said, "well You're not bleeding", And also mentioned, "I know this isn't your favorite thing to do but it isn't my favorite thing to do either". When the dentist actually evaluated my mouth she somehow checked all of my teeth within a minute and found that I had something like eight fillings required but was unable to explain in detail to me what was going on with my own dentistry, instead just handing me a list of fillings to be done, which had a total bill of over $2,000. Then last but not least when it came time to schedule an appointment, The secretaries let me know that when you schedule a filling appointment, however many feelings they can get done in the time frame is what they try to do, which honestly sounds like rushed dental procedures. I'm 29 years old and have never had a cavity, I'm not saying that it's impossible that I suddenly have eight when I switch to a new provider on my very first appointment, But honestly I was more concerned with how I was treated how I do not want my daughter who's only three to be treated in a similar fashion, and how not having the dental procedures explained to me in a way that I can understand just seems like bad practice. It's my sincere hope that the staff reads this and takes some of the feedback to heart in order to improve.
Definitely not happy with this place. They can get u in like that but want to take their time to send in the work u need done to get approved. It will be 2 weeks on Monday and they still haven't sent anything in. This is the worse place to go to. And then they think it's okay to tell me not to call back until it's approve like really. Don't go here .
Made an appointment for an extraction. Said earliest appointment for an extraction was 3 weeks. I accepted it. Got there. Bunch of x-rays, typical stuff. Dentists looks at my mouth for 30 seconds. Assistant tells me they don't do extractions....they tell me to go to this clinic in Shaker Heights with the referral they gave me. 90 minute drive one way. Clinic doesn't have blood pressure cuffs, they can't extract on someone with a history of high blood pressure. 5 weeks, still have a rotten tooth in my mouth. This place is a scam to milk your insurance.
My appointment was at 11am. I arrived at 10:30am as I was asked to come 30 minutes early. I wasn’t seen until 11:15 and people who arrived after me were called before me. I didn’t like the x-ray area as there is a huge glass window where people in the waiting room can watch you as you are getting x-rays done. I have a very sensitive gag reflex and was drooling during this time and it was very uncomfortable with the people in the waiting room watching me. The worst part of the appointment was the demeanor of the dentist. She came in, barely spoke to me, looked in my mouth, spoke medical jargon over my head to the dental tech, and then walked away. The tech tried to make an excuse for her saying see was seeing 6 people at one time, but does that me she couldn’t address me directly? The whole experience left much to be desired.
Waited over an hour and a half and had to be asked to get them to call us in just to called back for some X-rays, nothing else got done. Huge waste of 3 hours today! Wanted money out of pocket even tho there is full coverage insurance. The atmosphere and attitudes was way off… so glad my husband made the switch to lake county dental who is so much more professional. Gets all the work you need done asap and has an actual nice, updated & fully stocked office with super nice lady’s working there who know exactly what they are doing! I can see why everyone switches to them. Night and day difference!
if i could give this establishment zero stars, i would. other than a woman named aubrey, the entire staff is extremely rude and dismissive. i have no idea how the dentist even has a license & by seeing all of the negative reviews, its a surprise to me this place is still even open. i dreaded the few times i had appointments here because of how nasty and unwelcoming the entire staff behaves.
Staff was very friendly , I had a dental exam and cleaning. The dentist who did the cleaning with the “water pick” was very rough. Not gentle what so ever. I even had in my notes that I have sensitively to hot and cold. She never once asked if I was doing ok. When she was cleaning the back side, lower front teeth with the cold water, I had a death grip on the chair. Shame on me for not telling her when she was done.
Good dr.s and the staff members are so kind it makes it easier. They did a good job on my teeth
