Really nice spacious rooms equipped with a minibar, situated right in the city centre with ample restaurants within walking distance although I would recommend the hotel restaurant which served fantastic food at a reasonable price. The hotel also has a spa area with a small pool, steam room, sauna and lounging areas. The only down side was use of the spa cost an extra £20 and there was no parking anywhere nearby, although the hotel does have a deal with an NCP car park where you can park over night at a reduced rate but it’s still a good 400yds from the hotel. Friendly helpful staff at both the reception and the restaurant, I wouldn’t hesitate in returning if I need to stay in Bristol again
I’d definitely stay again. A fun variety of massage options available at the spa. Great quality pool, jacuzzi, steam room, and sauna. Love that they kept some of the internal architecture as it used to be an old bank - and you can see an old vault in the gym! Great quality beds and mattresses meant for a great quality sleep.Rooms: 5/5
I went to the spa for drift away experience. The staff are really nice. The spa itself is small with no hanger for the dressing gown. The only shower next to the steam room didn't work. The massage was quite nice. It need improvement for the price...Location: 3/5
What a disappointment! After paying £321 for a two night break for my partner's birthday, I was left bitterly disappointed- not only by the hotel but by the customer service. I contacted the hotel before arrival and mentioned the visit was for a birthday. They said they would leave a card which I thought was a lovely touch. When we arrived at our room traipsing through the dining area with our cases, past the staff area with loitering members of staff chatting and up the stairs which haven't been hoovered in a while there wasn't a card to be seen. The room can only be described as dismal and depressing. Grey walls, no pictures or anything to brighten it up and the windows had frosted covering so you couldn't see out and you couldn't open. The first night all you could hear is the air conditioning unit even though it was switched off and the lift which was next to the room. It was much worse the second night however as there was a function in the function room which was right next to our room. All you could hear was the disco blaring it's music full blast and the noise from the party goers going back and forth. We rang down to reception to only be told it would stop at 12 00. I have no idea why they would put guests in a bedroom next to the function room knowing full well they were having a party in there, especially when the rest of the hotel seemed empty!! The spa was the only half descent thing there but even that experience was tarnished by the empty cups lying around the place and towels left about. When we checked out we asked for the discount code for the car park 20% off if you parked at the NCP car park as stated on their website only to be told they had no more of the tokens/vouchers and more will arrive later that day but they couldn’t say when. It was only when we said how disappointed we were with our stay that another member of staff said we could email the hotel and they would refund the parking. As soon as I got home I emailed the hotel asking for the parking refund and told them about my horrible stay. No reply. A week later there was still no response so I emailed again. Several days later I got a reply saying they had refunded my account with £8.00 for the parking. Shocking! No sorry for my horrible stay, no sorry being kept awake! I replied to their email but again no response! Disgusting customer service for such a large company. I have stayed in many hotels in Bristol - many far cheaper and all much nicer. Don't waste your money.
Nice rooms, nice staff, great location . Average breakfast . BUT the hotel really needs an huge upgrade in terms of common spaces . It looks old and dusty, smell is really not nice, wooden floor are not maintained properly , feather decoration ins the dining room look so poor… The access to the rooms pass by the back premises , the kitchen entrance with many stairs and no elevators . Not convenient with luggages . It is really worth it to do a full refurbishment. Nearby activities: In the old city center . Every thing is at a walking distance .
The staff at the spa were lovely, the spa is quite small but there were only us and 1 other in there so it didn’t feel cramped, the facial we had was lovely and informative. The changing rooms and surrounding areas were clean and tidy. We had an afternoon tea booked for 1:15 but they allowed us in early. The cream tea was huge and we barely ate it which is a good thing Fosipa in the restaurant was lovely and we were impressed with the tea made by Sam. Overall a nice way to spend a morning.
Stayed on the Sunday Night Getaway, we had dinner, breakfast, spa access and nights stay included for £80. Whilst I do think it was worth it considering dinner was £70! The hotel definitely needs updating. Staff seem very stressed, we got to check in at 3:30pm and the room was still being checked! When we got in the room there was water still in the kettle, no complementary Gin and hair in the shower. Wallpaper hanging off ceiling, just overall didn't feel clean. The spa is TINY, so not be fooled by the photos online. I can see why you have to book it in advance/only have an hour to use it. Didn’t feel particularly clean either, everyone sitting on those dirty material sofas ect… I’ve already left a review on the restaurant but it’s average! Breakfast is good but I don’t recommend dinner, very expensive for what you get and tasteless. Staff are nice! Just stressed. They do allow you to leave your bags there during the day and even on check out which is nice. Probably won’t be back again but it was okay…
Don’t have parking, swimming Poole is small, very expensive I booked 2 night I payed over 500 pounds but if I go to swimming Pool I need to pay extra 10 pounds/ person. I stayed Marriott I could check out around 1 pm not extra fees and the room bigger, amazing positions with car park at hotel. But I’m very disappointed with Harbour Hotel, very expensive but check out 11 am, have pay extra if check out late never book this again.
Booked a spa package including a treatment and afternoon tea. I had the back pamper treatment and it was amazing with the therapist Alli, couldn't fault it. The afternoon tea was also lovely. Marking it down because the spa is very small so easily feels cramped pictures are slightly misleading. The changing rooms are also really small so can quickly feel crowded if there's more than 4-5 people. We were also unfortunate on the day that there were some other rude guests who seemed to be members there which negatively impacted our experience. Important to be aware there is a no phone rule in the spa so not the best place to go if you need to keep an eye on your phone for any reason, also stood out as an unusual rule compared to other spas we've been to. Overall we left feeling like the whole package wasn't worth the money as you could get much more in terms of space and facilities at other venues offering similar packages. Would recommend the restaurant and going to the spa for a treatment only. There is also no parking at the hotel so be prepared to pay an expensive fee for parking in Bristol.
Visited spa for gel manicure. Manicure was very well done in 30 minutes, choice of gel colours is a little limited, but they do have some nice neutrals. Very shiny and wore well for nearly 3 weeks without any chipping. I was very happy with the service and the result.
