Summer Reading
All ages are welcome to participate in this fun, family friendly summer-long extravaganza! As you read throughout the summer, you are eligible for prizes and other treats by summer's end. We also offer activities for all age groups every day during the weeks of summer reading. Check out our photos to see some of the fun programs we've had!

Crafters
Calling all Crafters! We meet on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at 6:00 pm to work on our craft projects at the library. Please bring your current project. Don't have one? No Problem! Stop by and learn a new craft or two!

Preschool Story Time
Join other preschool children at the Bristol Public Library for story time on Mondays at 10:30 a.m. and Tuesdays at 12:30 p.m.

Book Club
A book is chosen and distributed to each participant. We read it on our own and then come together to discuss and review.

Writers' Group
Are you a writer? Writing can be a complex and lonely art, which is why we are looking for seasoned pros and beginning writers to join this dynamic group. We meet the first and third Wednesday of every month from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Join us for food, feedback and fun! All ages and genres welcome.

Teens
Our teen group meets on the first and second Thursdays of each month at 6:00 p.m. We play Wii, watch movies, and play cards or board games.

A BRIEF HISTORY
The Bristol Public Library originated in 1917 when the Elkhart Public Library proposed to open a new branch in the Bristol town hall. The librarian, Mable Sanger, opened the library with a total of 400 volumes.

Beautiful library ! Sign up process was good and staff very helpful in getting started. Good selection of books from south west libraries. I use the area to study and it is a great space for that, however i will agree with other comments that there is not enough focus on being quiet. It would be good if staff could set an example in this regard as their voices echo through the study area, and loud-voiced-visitors are not advised to quiten down but instead matched with same level of volume. that said, i i have seen some very rude members of public using the computer area and the staff seem to have patience of saints in dealing with them.
Very pleasant and friendly staff willing to help. Fantastic building architecture. However, some of the younger visiting students don't respect the fact that it's a library and use it as a talking shop. Overall...recommended.
Very nice building inside and outside. Staff very friendly and welcoming, happy to help you with your enquires. Huge amount of books that covers all your needs.
Lovely library, however wish staff wouldn’t be as loud when talking. Can be heard throughout the study area and make it hard for some to concentrate on work.
Beautiful building, fantastic librarians, wide range of books, excellent study space. Very good events programme too.
The library is very beautiful place for read with ckmplete focus. Quite and calm, sometimes there will be a bit of disturbance.
Overall it is a very nice place to study, yet the toilets can be cleaner.
What a beautiful reading room, excellent resources and staff. Love the central location too.
Great place, clean, relaxing and many books, DVDs and audio books to select.
I had snack and coffee and then went to quiet space to read and write from reference books
