This library is a treasure for the community! They offer wonderful programs for children and teens.
Really nice place .. been here the last three days since I tragically broke my camera … they make even an oddball like myself feel welcomed, which isn’t always easy … thank you ! Ps you guys work really hard there .. in by brief observation I was blown away by how non stop the proper upkeeep and logistical load that has to be done every single day ..you all deserve a raise lol
Great selection of books and a good option if you want to get some work done in a quiet environment but, their current policy prohibits drinking inside inside the library which is quite annoying considering it's anywhere from 85 to 95 degrees outside during the summer and their own water fountains are locked. I can't really recommend spending more than 2-3 hours in there especially if you want to stay hydrated unless you want to get scolded by a lady who is seen every 10 minutes going around making sure no one is drinking or having a snack lol
Lovely library. I used the study rooms for two years, while getting my Masters. I enjoyed the quiet, clean atmosphere and informed personnel. I really enjoyed watching the therapy dog night. The children loved reading to the animals.
Kudos to Jeanne Wachter, director of events programming, for her hard work in organizing some of the best programs I've ever attended in libraries...or anywhere, for that matter. She manages, over and over, to bring in top-notch speakers and storytellers who entertain and inform us at no charge on a wide variety of topics. And the musicians she attracts to the library to perform are all gifted and a delight. How lucky we audience members are to have Jeanne "running the show" in finding these outstanding programs for us. On top of that, she's there at each event to be sure everything, such as audio and video equipment, is working. Thank you, Jeanne!
I go to this library all the time. They have a large selection of books, dvds, blue ray discs, reading materials and sevral.other items that you may borrow. They also have small private study rooms. Common areas reading areas, computer lab, copy machine and many other things to meet your needs. The staff is very nice and I have been coming here for about 6and a half years and love this library.. So if you dont want to have to look all over for that 1 particular book or DVD head on over to Margaret Heggans Library if they dont have it they can put a hold on it from another library.. Just tell them that Dawn the Googler sent you. May your day be full of surprises and your night be full of hugs.
I thought a library was supposed to be a source of information. When the documentation for a new library card was not sufficient, rather than suggest a means of obtaining this information, they stood on policy. It was only after I asked about a different means of confirmation that they offered an alternative. It was not a good first impression. It's a shame. What could have been an opportunity for the staff to welcome us newcomers, left us feeling suspect instead. It soured the afterthought quick tour of what seems to be quite a well-stocked, multi-generational library.
Needed copies and they were very helpful!
Only library that still makes patrons wear a mask, despite the mask mandate being lifted. The signs posted do not say “required.” Do not go here. You can tell who they voted for.
Very Clean & well kept Library...However It is a Public Library, and they wouldn't let me use the Bathroom, I get the Covid Stuff, BUT I was by myself and Iam a public servant- Thanks to Dunkin for their Kindness.
