Water survival and learn-to-swim lessons for infants as young as 3 months, children, and adults at 10 schools throughout the Greater Pittsburgh area.
For over thirty years, Rita Goldberg's British Swim School has been dedicated to teaching water survival skills to adults and children as young as three months old through fun, gentle exercises. All swimmers in our program, regardless of age, first learn the most important water survival skill: how to float on their backs. The back-float enables swimmers to rest, breathe, and call for help, thus alleviating the “silent” danger of floating face down.
Founded in 1981 by Rita Goldberg. Pittsburgh franchise opened in 2013 by Becky Grindle, Traci Brown, and Ryan Grindle. Currently swimming in Wexford, Valencia, Cranberry Township, Bloomfield/Shadyside, East Liberty, Monroeville, Robinson Township, Bridgeville, and Mount Lebanon.
Our mission is to ensure that every person, regardless of age or ability, has the opportunity to be become a safe and happy swimmer
