Brockington Funeral Home is a Family owned and operated funeral home in Lake City, SC. We have been serving families in the Lake City area since 1951.
Samuel Keels Brockington, a native of Williamsburg County and eighth generation South Carolinian, established Brockington Funeral Home in Lake City in 1951 as an effort to provide a form of ministry to community members in need of guidance at the time of a death in the family. Keels provided a sense of confidence in service, tradition and respect to all persons who came to him.
The funeral home, located in a stately 1920s home with a large added chapel provides a sense of continuity for generations of people from Lake City and the surrounding area. Keels, a compassionate and genuine friend to all, was proud to include his son, Sam, in the business. Together they worked hard to earn your trust, provide an appropriate and meaningful memory, and continue to lend support to families. Since Keels' death in 2011, the Brockington Funeral Home is managed by his children, Sam Brockington as President and Jane Brockington Harrell as Vice-President. Today, they are assisted by Manager Daniel Jordan.
Families can look to Brockington Funeral Home for knowledgeable, familiar and especially caring commitment. A small town feel is preserved, accompanied by the reminder of a professional and accomplished practice. The 60-year legacy of serving the community continues in Florence County.
