Brookhaven Wildlife Center at the Holtsville Ecology Site
This is the Official Facebook Page of the Brookhaven Wildlife Center, Inc. (BWC).
The BWC is a non-profit organization that supports the animals living at the Town of Brookhaven's Holtsville Ecology Site.The organization is a separate entity from the Town, and raises the funds necessary for the costs of feed and medical care, for the animals at the preserve. The town does not contribute to this fund.
The preserve features over 100 injured or non-releasable wild animals and farm animals for viewing.
Feed machines for the goats are available for 25 cents a handful. Plastic bags or cups for feeding are not permitted due to the danger to the animals if eaten.
No outside food is permitted to feed the animals, due to their careful diet.
The preserve cannot accept injured animals, as there is no veterinarian on the premises.
