Communal space for emerging and established writers of all genres.
The Brooklyn Writers Space was founded by playwrights Scott Adkins and Erin Courtney in 2002. Inspired by the Writers Room in Manhattan, Erin and Scott have created a place that is free of distractions like noisy coffee shops, cramped apartments, cluttered offices, and phones. The space is a dedicated place where writers are free to focus on the task of writing in a professional, respectful, and quiet environment that fosters literary success. Since opening, the Writers Space has served over 1500 writers who have published countless articles, books, dissertations, stage and screen plays, poems, etc.
