Reserved through Priceline and did pre-registration a few days before the date. The whole process was smooth and they did have a car according the requested model. I was worried about the experience given the negative reviews here. But was pleasantly surprised!
We have used this location and worked with Miss Debbie 4 times now for our vacation rentals. We absolutely love Debbie and the other guy who works there haven't caught his name. They are always kind and I trust this location very much now to continue to rent from them! I hope Debbie doesn't leave because I know we are in great hands when she hands us our key! We will continue to use this location as long as Debbie is there for sure!
Worst place I have ever done business with. The people we rented from were so rude. Never have experienced the attitude before. The black guy behind the counter said very negative connotations and caused my wife to start crying. He asked me to me to leave his property because he couldn’t deal with me. We had reservations but the first words out of the counter person was we have no cars to rent! Once they realized we had the most expensive car reserved they still didn’t change their attitude or apologize for the confusion. I usually rent from Enterprise car rental but I did not make the reservation my wife Holly did. I rent a car once a month for 5-7 days at a time. Enterprise has never greeted me in this way. I will always rent from Enterprise and never again from Budget/Avis BTW rental agreement 48376619-US-4 I In case corporate wants to look up on computer
Man behind the counter was super rude. Said he has an old outdated system so he can't look up frequent customer accounts. Left the counter multiple times for extended periods during the paperwork process stating he needs to get ready for closing. I had called several times prior to going to the store and no answer. When I got there he said he didn't have any cars clean and I would need to take it as it. I told him I had tried calling several times before arriving, and he said that he was busy with cars and customers and that budget could answer their phone and do their jobs for once. Then he was pushy to my 60 year old mother to hurry up with her information on the paperwork and I walked away after that. I told him I would rather take half a day off of work the next day to go somewhere else then rent from him. The same man has TONS of bad reviews on here for the same type of service. I don't know why budget isn't doing anything about it.
Just like everyone else. Made my reservation. Show up, no car. She says she has 25 reservations and 6 cars, none of the size or anywhere near what my reservation was for. This isn't a me problem. This is a budget problem for not knowing how to operate a business. Hopefully someone takes the time to report them to the better business bureau and they get shut down soon for wasting people's time!!!!
Do not go if you are a person of color and want to discuss their unfair business practices. When it was my turn at the counter, Debbie the manager informed me that the car I had reserved was unavailable and I would have to pay $10 more per day. I then said I thought Budget should pay for the upgrade. She said that they would pay for only one upgrade, but no cars like that were available and the car they had was four upgrades. I tried to express again that I should not have to pay extra money because they didn't honor the rental car agreement. She looked away and called the next customer forward. I was confused and tried to continue the conversation and she said she was refusing me service. My friend tried to intervene and said that we would like the car. Debbie responded, "Too late" and continued to call the next customer. I asked for her full name and she refused. As an Asian woman I often encounter discrimination and am treated differently. I was shocked when I was not allowed to talk and was kicked out of the office.because of Debbie's refusal to discuss my situation. I was silenced and humiliated in front of my friend and the room full of people. Our road trip was ruined and I was left wondering how this could happen. Was I too difficult to understand? Why was I dismissed and refused service? Debbie spoke condescending and harshly to me. I felt helpless and didn't feel like I was treated like a human being.
Worst experience. We and a lot of other people made morning reservations but they told us that there were no cars available until 1 pm. People were frustrated that day. They didn't even inform us beforehand that no cars were available, which cost us meaningless Lyft rides to get there. In comparison, Enterprise would call you the same morning if no cars are available to save you the Lyft rides and make reservations elsewhere. Yeah Budget is cheaper than Enterprise but be ready to NOT get your car at the right time if you rent with Budget. It feels like we didn't "make a reservation" but rather was "in a waitlist". The refund process was awful saying that we can't cancel online after pickup time where it's totally their fault for not having the car ready. We had to specifically call customer service to arrange the refund, and wait several business days for it. I will definitely NOT rent from Budget in the near future.
This place runs a classic bait-and-switch scam operation. I reserved a car to visit my family for Thanksgiving, getting the most gas-efficient car. When I showed up, they first tried to claim the car I reserved was unavailable and upcharge me more money for a less fuel-efficient car, then Debbie became extremely unprofessional and refused to rent to me at all after I called customer service and secured a refund bringing my rental total down to the original price. I checked online on their website and the car I reserved and they claimed they didn’t have is currently available to reserve for today for $10 LESS than the original price I had reserved it for. And plenty of small cars just sitting in the lot! As a result of this issue and their refusal to rent one of their many cars to me, I went from a 9am planned rental to currently being on a bus to Indianapolis at noon in hopes that I can rent a car there and then drive back to Bloomington to pack my things into the car. Not how I was planning to spend my day!
THIS IS A SCAM! DON'T COME! UNRESPONSIBLE EMPLOYEE! SPEND A LITTLE MORE TO GO TO ENTERPRISE! I pre-booked two weeks ago and checked in online. When I arrived on time, the front desk told me I would have to wait at least FOUR hours for a car! If you don't have any available cars, why are you showing them online and scamming people into booking? However, if I wanted to cancel, I had to call customer service myself. The front desk didn't willing to help with anything. The customer service was even worse, not actively handling the situation, and even pushing blame onto me. I waste money on two Uber trips and ruining the entire trip with anger. NEVER COME BACK AGAIN.
Lone employee was competent but too busy and could not provide reasonable customer service. We received a vehicle that was returned while I was standing in line to rent. It had not been serviced or cleaned. The check engine light was on and the car smelled so heavily of smoke that we had to return it within 36 hours for what was going to be a 5-day rental.
