This place sucks. I waited in line for 45 minutes to get a car that was covered in bird poop and tree sap/gum and had only 3/8 of a tank of gas. Then when I returned it less than an hour late, they charged me an extra day, though they had made me late in the first place. It isn't the fault of the one person staffing the busy rental counter, which has two workstations and really should have at least two people working it. I blame the corporate office. In any case, this place is the pits.
Well the customer experience matched the name ... BUDGET. A couple weeks ago when we talked to both the clerk with grey hair and the car interior cleaner had bad attitudes. When we asked if they had another car that was cleaner on the outside since the one they gave had a lot of mud on the outside, he gave major attitude and said take it or leave it. Didn't care and was making a scene as if it was our fault the car was dirty. Complete a hole! Don't come here!
I rented a car from Budget and it was just an absolutely terrible experience. Their system was down on pick up so it took over an hour to get my car. Then on the day of my drop off the car I rented Chevy Equinox stopped working. I was getting an ESC warning light and the car wouldn’t shift into gear. Transmission issue if I had to guess. It took forever to get a hold of roadside assistance and when I did the system was down AGAIN!!! It took 4 hours for them to even process the roadside assistance request. I ended up calling a towing company to come pick up the lemon. Terrible experience. Never again
Budget. It is not like Enterprise. The location is inside Sears and they only have a little desk. The problem here is the line and having to wait sooooooooo long to get attended. And there are no places to sit. However once you see an agent they move fast and get you a car right away. I think this place could be better if they had more staff working that way people won't have to wait. So if you want to rent from here just come 15-20 minutes before your reservation.
I made my reservation online which was easy. I showed up to the appointment on time, and checked in accordingly. The manager was professional, and easy to work with. However…this is where the review drops to three stars. While inspecting the first car for any damage… I noticed a gouge in the side wall of the front left tire. I indicated that the car was not safe to drive and that I would not take delivery. Gabriel the manager agreed, and said he would switch me to another car. Well, The second cars front tires were BALD. So, I refused that car as well. Gabriel indicated that Budget was not able to fix their tires because there were not any in stock. I find that hard to believe. NO tires in stock!?? Anyways, he put me into a third car which we inspected thoroughly and I drove off with it. When I returned the car a few days later clean, and gassed up, Gabriel apologized again and hoped everything was well with the car I had for the weekend. He was professional, and understanding to the situation. As for Budget Rental, you guys need to step up your game and make sure your cars are safe to rent out to families. Both the cars I refused are an accident and law suit looking to happen. Only a matter of time. If it weren’t for that, I’d have left a five star.
Booked online and paid in advance. Called a few days on advance to check on my reservation, which they found. Arrived to pick up my car. They found my reservation but said it wasn't paid for. I showed them my email which indicated I paid. They said I have to call their customer service number. I called and talked to an agent and they said there was a glitch and I had to talk to customer service. Transferred me and was on hold for 40 minutes. Talked to customer service and they had to investigate and was they would call me back in 5 business days. After 45 minutes since arriving, I finally get my car after having to pay again. Car was also not cleaned.
Came here on Saturday 9/10/22 at 0900 to pick up a rental and the agent/african american man was very rude and disrespectful. I have put his race because i did not get his name and he deserves to be called out. He was very short, unprofessional. I asked a genuine question and his response "I aint got time to be going back and forth". Did not have the time to explain anything and wanted to function as a useless robot. I will be calling corporate on this man. ABSOLUTELY horrible service. Take some pride in your work. you are not there doing us a favor!!!!!!!!
At first, I was shocked reading the reviews and didn't want to take a chance, but considering they were the only ones with the type of car I needed, I had no other options. I should say the customer service was superb Jackie was helping me, and the car's interior was immaculate. I am definitely a continuing customer of this location. as someone else has mentioned, this a new place and different management.
I arrived to return a vehicle today that I’ve been calling since December 2022 to speak with the front desk counter and no one has been able to return my phone call or to provide disability assistance. The guy waited to today to tell me they don’t accept Chime payments.
It's just a basic place to rent cars. Guy was helpful regarding service and other offers.
