I have rented from a lot of locations and this was not a great experience. My biggest issue is that while i was being typed up there were employees doing nothing at all, my car was dirty and the rep I worked with had to clean it after he was done with my paperwork. They could have easily cleaned it for him so I had no wait time. Also the phonlines and credit card readers were down

They have cheated me with a hidden charge of 146.98 USD as Toll collection from the Security Deposit of my Credit Card which is really unbelievable. While renting the car, they never told me anything about Platepass deduction which they claimed 20.99 USD/Day. Please all to be very careful about this cheating. Also already about to complete 2 months, but I haven't received my remaining security deposit to my Credit Card. Will never recommend to anyone.

Showed up and they asked if it was okay if we got a smaller vehicle instead of the one we scheduled a month ago. We have car seats so we couldn't so he said we could drive a different car half an hour to another place and exchange the vehicles or just get a different car. We said a different car to make sure we kept our schedule but then they went to clean the vehicle and it took the half hour to clean it. Got into the car and the car wasn't very clean and the gas was almost empty. Not the worst it could have gone but it was frustrating that they didn't try to resolve their mistake sooner or compensate us for dealing with it given that we rented a nice telsa and ended up with a dirty ford

A1 service from the front desk rep. He was kind and friendly and ssssoooo patient. He was very honest and upfront with the process. He is very detailed oriented and makes sure u are prepared for the road.

I read all of the reviews before going to this location, so wanted to add my own experience in case it is helpful.  I rented a vehicle via my insurance company while my car was in the shop. The carrier confirmed the location and reservation and shortly after I received a call from this location as well. A few days later I needed to make a small change and found it difficult to get someone on the phone. Eventually I call shortly after they opened and was able to speak with someone. He was very courteous and helpful.  When picking up the vehicle, I was greeted promptly when I walked in. While standing behind another customer who was being helped, another rep walked in and quickly helped me. He was helpful in working with me to choose a vehicle, apparently since it was an insurance rental,  I couldn't reserve a car in advance, which is odd. I ended up with a car that met my needs and the rep was very helpful in sharing details on operating the Tesla, since it was my first time driving one. My only small issue is that the car was not clean when given to me.  Overall the process was pretty seamless and I have no real complaints, based on my experience.

I picked up at the Gaithersburg location located in the Hilton on Perry Pkwy. It’s a bit slow because there’s just one person working in this small office so give yourself enough time. I returned at the Dulles Airport which went  smoothly - in and out!

Base price is often cheaper than competition, which is the only advantage of this location. To negate this benefit, liability insurance costs $5 more than other companies.  They often force me to cancel my trip because there is no vehicle available. This occurred in 3 times out of my last 7 reservations.  Vehicles are not as clean as competition, for example I found paper receipts in the armrest console compartment and smelly towels in the trunk during my recent rental.  Wait time on Saturday morning is longer than competition because there's only one staff member working, while Enterprise and Nextcar have two.

I received excellent and professional service from them. We rented a car yesterday and unfortunately one wheel cap went missing without our knowledge. When we went to return the car, we were extended out of box solution to fix the car, and then they fixed the issue by assisting us in a very amicable and professional way, which was unimaginable for us We had a very bad experience with the Budget car rental at 701 russell Avenue at the Lake Forest Mall a few months ago, whereas the Hertz team was a complete professional and empathetic story. As a diplomat  and having my family members living in the USA  whom I visit a few times a year, I rent cars in different parts of the world. I would admit that this is the best rental experience we have ever had all over the world. I would request people to just verify my statement by visiting Hertz in Gaithersburg.

Yes, this location is inside the hotel! Just enter though the lobby and turn right.  Really nice staff and the usual assortment of basic cars. Went above and beyond to ensure we had the correct car from insurance. I hope they get a bigger office for the staff's sake.

Tyrone is extremely friendly and helpful! He has a big smile on his face even when it’s a super busy day. We had a great experience at this location. Will come back again.
