We signed up for the 'Mystery Car' option. It was a great surprise and success. We were assigned a new Tacoma, a great truck and perfect for our needs although anything but a two seater sports car would have been acceptable. The woman who signed us in couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating!
I usually have bad experiences with budget but I was blown away today by the compassion and customer service JASON provided me with. Wow just wow what a nice and helpful person he was. He saved me so much money and time… I’m from NY and the budget employees are very rude and not helpful. Jason gave me hope.. I will continue to use budget rental car.
Tried to drop off vehicle . . . No one was at the counter. Sign said to drop off keys with fuel level and mileage. Only problem there was no way of leaving that information on the key. Sign said to leave information on an envelope the rental came with. No envelope was ever issued. Wasting customers time is no way to guarantee repeat customers. The other rental companies had plenty of staff to serve customers.
The salesman didn't bother to make clear what time i was supposed to return my car. They say online that they're open until midnight. I showed up at 10 pm to return my rental and they were closed. I drove my car with transmission problems 20 miles to and from the location to drop off the rental a day early, and they were just closed.
Booked through Expedia so I wasn’t told about the $100+ fee for being 21. Was told I was getting a car but instead got a truck that cost twice as much on gas as a car would have. Picked up the car 40 minutes early due to confusion with the time differences so I was charged for that as well. Had I known that I would’ve just waited the 40 minutes but of course I wasn’t told. Customer service wasn’t too bad and the truck was in good shape and had no problems. 10/10 will use Uber next time as a $160 rental fee turned into nearly $300 for four days.
We've rented from them several times and had issues every time. This last time, I paid for Sirius XM radio for a long road trip, and it never worked, even though I called the desk and they tried to reset it twice. They just took it off my bill. I'm guessing the radio itself is bad since my Bluetooth wouldn't connect either, but I doubt they'll fix it on a rental. They also don't always clean the vehicles between customers because I've found trash and the carpet is dirty.
The lady working at the counter with the cute pixie hair cut went above and beyond to make sure I was happy, after arriving at the airport to find out that the vehicle I had reserved was not available, and that there was nothing comparable to what I had rented. Talk about a great start to the vacation! Thank goodness for this lady at the front counter!! She is the real MVP!
Absolutely the worst for dependability! On 3 occasions I've rented cars and they had none when I got there. They will also close earlier than the last flight arrives. I fly almost every day, and this Airport is known for lousy car rental service, and they just don't seem to give a s __ __ t if you're stranded there.
My wife picked up car there on a Friday, drove it to the OBX and parked it for two days. We returned it on a Sunday only drove it three times... with one stop at a gas station. She visually inspected it to start... no damage and I inspected it when we dropped it off... no damage. When we dropped it off, no one was at the service counter so we dropped off the keys and went through security We got a call a day later saying they found a clip missing and a crack under the front bumper. I explained it dd not happen while we had the car and was not seen on initial inspection because it is UNDER THE CAR, and they replied they still were blaming us. This is an obvious scam, they saw an opportunity to try to get someone else to pay for a repair they needed done and since they left the counter unmanned, they saw their opportunity. Do not rent here, they will scam you, charge you for a foggy window etc. This place brings ypu back to the good old days of shady rental guys. Opperates Avis and Budget. Manager Jack P. Thus far unresolved, awaiting regional manager response. Will update either way
We want to give a shout out to Pat for always providing excellent service at Budget at the EWN location. We have rented from him multiple times, and have always been pleased with the service provided. Very helpful, very professional. Thanks Pat!
