Buena Park police Department towed my car not knowing that i just moved back to California and was in the process of getting my car registered out here, it hasnt even been out here for 10 days when I went to my car it was gone. They are crooks who swear an oath to uphold the constitution but completely violated my 5th amendment and continue to violate everyones rights with there color of law. I will be making a complaint and escalating this issue.

There was a homeless intruded to our neighbor hood gate community and he took anything he saw from house to house. I asked hom to leave but he refused . I called Buena Park police and it had been an hour no officer  show up. I took a female officer more than 15 minutes to ask me unnecessary questions and over an hour after I called to report the intruder no one had came yet. Unbelievable.  By the time the policeman came, the homeless man already left the neighbor hood. They are so lazy and irresponsible.

THEY STEAL YOUR MONEY!!! I had went to the department to pay a fix it ticket after being told it was only going to be $10 which ended up being $30 not only that they didn’t tell me the proper information to take further care if the incident. I had gotten a letter in the mail saying I didn’t pay so I went back to the station and the cops at the desk were extremely rude to me for no reason so now I have to pay $60 just for a fix it ticket because they failed to explain the right information. Everyone there is entitled and rude spoiled brats no wonder why no body respects the police anymore

Got my motorcycle stolen out of my hands and quickly called 911, 3 hours later and no one showed up. Its been 25 hours since then and i haven't been able to get a report! In the station they say the officers are busy. 25 hours and still counting.

My neice was jumped and muged on Knott before lapalma the light was red going north and south. About 30 cars and one crossing guard. No one help her. She has Epelepsy she fought the man off while no on help her the man came back for her again and the police right there to save her. This happened yesterday in the morning. They even drove her to work.Thank you and bless you officers who helped her when no one else would.in my prayers forever

I called the Buena Park Police at 9:55pm. My neighbor spit on my car I'm trying to prevent a situation that could escalate very quickly. It's 1049pm still haven't showed up. I'm a disabled black woman with a young child. We are experiencing racial tension at my apartments and still you guy are not here. WOW I see I will have to protect myself and family..

Terrible service I called this station to report a suspicious vehicle in front of our neighbors house parked in his driveway; while he was away. The suspicious people get out to threaten us and tell us to go back inside our homes and to mind our own business. Meanwhile the rude dispatcher was not comprehending. I sincerely suggest she is replaced, there needs to be more professionalism. She wouldn't let me talk or finish my statement while rudely interrupting me with more questions. I called the department at 10:35pm 1/12/2019 I hope this helps BPPD Identify their dispatcher and have a serious talk with her. BPPD took 20min to arrive. Meanwhile the entire time I spent arguing with the rude dispatcher the gang members took off. But yet on a Friday night when you play your Bose small portable speaker they will be sure to break it up LOL!!! Jesus!!!! ridiculous.

Got a Welfare Check from the BP PD due to my suicidal ideation,  I wasn't home during the check-up but got a call from my mother telling me that the police were looking for me.  I go to the BP PD and during this time I talk to a couple of police officers about my life.  They decide to call the ambulance to take me to the hospital to dispose some chemicals I had to harm myself and to be evaluated.  I didn't want to go to the hospital for various reasons, I was convinced to go as they told me that the ambulance ride is paid for by the city of BP.  A month later I get a bill from the ambulance for $300 dollars.  The police were very professional with me and nice and I got along well with them, I felt they were on the same team as me... hence the 3 stars.  But to tell me that I get a free ride to the hospital and get a bill might be a oversight by the officer or can just be a tactic used to shut me up and lie to me to get the wheels moving, pun attended.  Lesson here, trust but verify and when around a position of power, make sure to use your tape recorder on ur smart phone.  Paragraph above was written in December 2018. Update for April 2019 below.  So the free ride I was told by Buena Park Police cost me more than $300.00, after further research the amount was simply for the ambulance to "respond to the call".  The bill for the ambulance which I traveled 3 miles in with no medical ailments for EMT's to do and simply asked me 3 general questions cost me just over a thousand dollars.  The hospital I stayed in at 8 hours with a doctor and a social worker treating me was half that cost.  Thanks Buena Park Police Department for the transparency.

I had just left a gas station. Noticed a door ajar light on and pulled over into a school parking lot to check. A Buena Park Police SUV approached me just to stop and BLARE his siren at me while driving off laughing. Seriously??

Responsive and professional. We don't have many occasions to call the police, but every time we have, they have responded quickly within 10 minutes for non-emergencies and professionally. I have also visited the police department on several occasions for things like alarm permits, fingerprinting, car towing releases, etc, and always received courteous and appropriate service from the front desk. The department also supports the community, appearing at all types of charity fundraisers, school functions, and similar events. I sleep just fine at night knowing they are working to keep my community safe.  The one-star reviews here based on a single video of an incident involving an OFF DUTY officer are absurd. This is a rogue isolated incident, not department policy. The officer is under investigation, as he should be, and the city council is on top of what is going on. People need to get educated about the responsibilities of the police chief it's pretty easy, just read the ACLU attorney's quote in the OCR article before dumping on the whole department for not dispensing mob mentality justice on the officer.
