Carolina Beach Police Department

I cannot speak on behalf of the entire Carolina Beach Police Dept. But can speak on a certain individual who was employed by them. Back in December of 2021 an officer stole $4k cash out of my hotel room while assisting me. Officer was in police uniform and on duty that night. Its now been 7.5 Months, I have not received my money, I have not received a call from the department to apologize for the inconvenience it has caused me. Also, the officer name is no longer even showing on the court calendars. From what the DA told me they're reducing his charges down to misdemeanors and he will most likely get a slap on the wrist, ill never see any of my money ever again, and he will join this police department or another sometime very soon.. Makes you wonder, how many people has he done this or worse too? and also, if it'll happen ever again.... Sadly enough, I have been vacationing here for at least 15 years for memorial and labor day. me and my whole family. I will say majority of us will never return to Carolina Beach. LOOKING FOR JUSTICE AND MY MONEY BACK !

Somehow our minivan door did not shut after we parked it today, may 26th. The police dept tracked the rental car to me, then called me. I cant thank the one female and two male officers who went out of their way to do that. As a retired officer myself from Pa, You went above your job. Thank you sister and brothers in blue. Nice to know We are well protected by you guys while in your area.

Was on the beach with a couple friends and a couple officers came up and gave me a ticket for a glass bottle. Me being from out of town and never being to a beach before had no idea of this law. I tried explaining this to the officer and he wanted no part of my explanation and just wrote me a ticket. Meanwhile his female partner was off basically flirting with my friends. The officer didn't ask for my id or even take the glass bottle. Clearly just a way for the city to make money off of out of town college kids. The enterance where we entered the beach did not have any signage about the glass bottle rule checked after the fact. He could have easily just given me a warning and taken the bottle but did neither. Not a great vacation experience and costed me an extra $50.

Beach patrol experience: my 2 year old waved from across the beach and a really nice Officer stopped his suv and gave out some rad tattoos! We exchanged high fives and continued on our walk. Thanks for keeping the beaches safe! My kids really enjoy the tattoos. :

I know there are many discrepancies as to whether citizens "like" or "dislike the police but as a grown, law abiding citizen I feel we need to do more to support those who serve and protect us when needed. I've changed my review from an irrelevant personal anecdote in order to state that given the resources and the things they deal with I have never felt these men and women were disrespectful to me and when I had something happen not only did authorities show up quickly but they made sure to follow up to ensure safety. Thank you.

Sergeant J.R. Harvey came to my house today and was very helpful to me by giving information about how to handle an unwanted tenant. He was very professional with advice. I would love to see him make Chief asap.

Extremely unprofessional and refused to give updates. An officer with a beard and a backwards hat called us expletives and refused to give us updates on our friend who was wrongfully detained

Really? 4 cops show up for a simple speeding ticket? Something wrong there. My taxes are being wasted on cops that apparently have nothing better to do.
