This campground is beautiful there is abcde loops in which a& b are only for camping which have few sites and lonely areas so dont book that instead cde are for RV, tent and campers which is great with fully packed people and sites are preety close to each other .we booked D-25 site which is close to lake .bathrooms are pretty good clean and well maintain hot water also coming .one can find common picnic areas in cde loops which can also be used as shelter if there is heavy rain .no network available in the campgrounds but when u coming to sutton and heaters town u got your network back . Which is 15 min from campground.
We had went there a while back to go camping with family. It seemed like they knit picked about anything and everything. Seemed like if you looked like you had money they didn't bother you, but if you looked like you weren't as fortunate as others by judging RVs/campers they picked at the littlest things! They wouldn't allow us to ride hoverboards even with the go-kart attachments but yet let people ride their electric bikes around and some had no helmets on! Then their things to stop people from backing over the hill when backing their RVs up weren't marked so they were visible at night and my dad who has a defibrillator/pace maker in fell over it with both feet and caught himself on his hands thought he broke his wrist. I don't know if I'll be back or not.
Enjoying a campsite with full hook up no cable and a water view, smooth lake surface kayaking and solitude, this campsite is a five star experience. Shower houses always clean and stocked on our visit. There is historical value with a primitive museum and buildings you can visit. By solitude, I am referring to being “unplugged”. No local tv signal, take a walk to get two bars on your phone. I purchased the camp Wi fi, but had no consistent internet connection while using it. No streaming. Just enjoy the peaceful views. Enjoyed seeing an eagle fly over and a mink swimming as we kayaked. Posted a pic of the mink.
Great camping for the whole family. Our pet friendly site was shady and well maintained. We went on the tour and found the old homesteads and their stories quite fascinating! Beautiful place to visit, highly recommend.
We really enjoyed spending a week here. Lake side spot, with 50amp service. Launch the canoe from camp, and enjoy the lake. Lots to explore here and in nearby waters. Update a year, later same great experience .
Great family campground, no wake zone by the campground, so it's great for kayaking and fishing. Clean sites, campground and bathhouses.
By far one of the best campgrounds we have ever stayed at! So much to do and very relaxing! We are a family that loves to camp by the water! We camped in C17, was plenty big enough for our 30ft Springdale. Great for kids, playgrounds are wonderful! We spent the weekend, but definately needed longer here!! Bathhouses were very clean. My only complain is, the charge for internet service - cell service is spotty we had NO service and I realize when you are camping, you should be together as a family BUT .... the rates for internet is terrible!
Would have loved to stay here but the sites they had available were no pets allowed, odd thing is they are handicap spots, so I guess they say handicap people cant have pets. Very sad.
Though we only stayed one night, this campground is a hidden gem with full 50 amp hookups and lots of room for big rigs. Check out the Virtual 360 tour we did of part of this campground.
One of our favorite places! Swimming, fishing, playgrounds. Everything is easy access. The ice cream shop at the entrance is a huge plus.
