We really enjoyed the peaceful stay. It was a nice quiet campground. It was great to see kids out being "kids" enjoying themselves riding bikes, playing on the playground and in the river. Our niece enjoyed herself as well. It would have been nice if the pool would have been opened but apparently there were no lifeguards or some issue that prevented it. We still had a great time. We will be going back as soon as we can!
I grew up camping here, every summer. I am now an adult with children of my own and came for a visit this week as my elderly grandparents were staying there for the week. They are unable to walk their dogs well due to health issues so they utilized a small safe fenced area for their King Charles Cavalier Spaniel. We had not been on the campsite 30 minutes when an older man stopped by on a utility vehicle basically demanding they remove their fencing and stated it wasn’t allowed they were not informed of this at check in. Talk about ruining a vacation. This dog is under 10 pounds and never barks. My grandparents had to send the dog home with my family to finish out their vacation. This is NOT the campground I grew up enjoying and for this reason I will not bring my children back to stay. Not a great way to do business especially with a native of this county and of this area. Beware if you have dogs!! Shameful.
We loved this campground. It was very secluded and quiet. We stayed at site 42 and it was right along the river and it was a rather large site. The hookups are all close by and easy to use. The staff are nice. Our kids enjoyed the playground and biked around. The pool is not part of the campground but costs $5/person and was open from noon to five. Will definitely be back.
The best place I have ever camped. Great staff very clean. The fishing was awesome. Cant wait to go back again.
It has went downhill a lot the toilets have oil rust stains from the water in bathrooms extremely hot even though windows are open they need a fan to ventilate circulate the air which really helped
We camp here with 5 kids aged 5-17years. We all love it. We bike, swim, tube and try to fish we aren't very good . For an extra fee there is also a pool. Love it here.
I was looking forward to staying there until the old man and woman that rides around harassing everyone told us we couldn’t have a dog pin, unbelievable. The dog pin is of high quality and sold at tractor supply, it makes it fun for our dogs as for us. They’re never left in it unattended, but I was told in years past they had complaints of dogs barking, give me a break, if dogs are unruly, ask them to keep inside or leave, don’t make it unpleasant for everyone else. I opened it up and made a courtyard, no longer a dog lot, this made for another visit to our site but they no longer had the grounds to make us tear it down, after explaining that to them they left but started harassing us, for example, having the sheriff department pay us a visit for having alcohol in a solo cup at our family cookout, never mind that all 6 of us are over the age of 50 and with our mother of 75 spending family time with one another, no noise, no partying, a cookout! The cops were very nice and seemed a little put out that they had to interrupt our dinner. It seems the old man and woman do a drive by every hour to make sure we’re obeying all the rules, it makes for a very unpleasant vacation!!!
I’m trying to call and all the phone numbers are the same and seem out of service. When I go to book a campground it says “please call”. How do I reach them?
First time there and now consider this place our campground. Marvelous scenery, fishing, so laid back. Never found any better place
We love this place staff and campers are super friendly. This is our go to place for fishing and just wish we had a camper so we could stay rather than our day trip. If you love all things campingtent or camper this is the place to be!
