Bunk Bar At Providence Park
"Made with high-quality ingredients, Bunk sandwiches are creative and comforting, satisfying and delicious. Bunk's signature sandwiches - such as the Bunk Cubano, the Meatball Parmiagano Hero, and the Italian Cured Meats- have garnered national media attention from the likes of The Food Network, Food & Wine Magazine, and Travel + Leisure. The praise from national and local media have made Bunk a favorite for locals as well as a must-eat option for visitors. In 2010, Tommy and Nick joined forces with Bladen County Records founder and legendary barman, Matt Brown. Together, they opened the original Bunk Bar on SE Water Ave, bringing some of the best and most non-traditional indie rock shows that the Pacific NW has ever seen."

Went to check this place out while in Portland. Really cool Bar deli. My Italian was amazing, meats were fresh hot peppers slaw was delicious and the bread was perfect. Beautiful day to sit outside as well. It’s Portland so not a lot of parking on the street but it’s well worth it if you could walk or take your car. Either way cool fun place to catch a bite to eat. Great service. Great recommendations on food and drinks. Would I go here again, absolutely.
Terrific sandwich place / bar in a neighborhood with other solid food options. Had the turkey club, really fresh ingredients and perfectly done. Tater tots on the side which is always a great touch to offer. Folks I was with had great things to say about their sandwiches and drinks. Certainly a place I would return to when in the neighborhood!
Bunk is certainly something of a sandwich institution in Portland and is always a safe bet. I recently ordered a Roast Beef sandwich which was the special for the day. At first I thought it looked a little small, but then I realized how tall it was! It was a very fine sandwich! And don't miss trying their "super secret recipe" Creole Cole Slaw. It's worth trying to bribe someone for the recipe.
The sandwiches were delicious. The tots were a little over cooked but yummy. Classic Portland RC Cola establishment. There were 2 pinball games and a lovely view.Food: 5/5
Solid. Came here on a Sunday, only a few folks, two pinball machines, open booths with weirdly nice tables. Super friendly and slightly quirky bartender took our order, made weirdly good cocktails and brought out our bar food which was suspiciously better than normal barfood. This is the kind of place that first convinced me how awesome portland can be. Theres no reason this place should have such good food, cool people, or great drinks. But it does, and it made our day. Thanks :
Wow, short short ride from river on bike or walking, so cute, friendly, deliciousFood: 5/5
Amazing customer service, if you're in Portland, hungry and close to downtown, Bunk is the place to go to, those guys don't mess around when it comes to sandwiches and amazing local draft beer . Half a sandwish and i was praying for the skies how full I was. Love you guys, keep up the good work and flavor cheers
Tldr- skip the chicken sandwich unless you are feeling lucky, skip the tots, bring earplugs if you sit outside bc train horn. Everything else is perfect I have ordered the fried chicken sammitch here on at least 4-6 occasions since I work around the block. 2 of those times were excellent, like really top tier level excellence. I might want slightly more seasoning in the breading but it really doesnt need it to be excellent. The rest were very bad. I have yet to call in and complain about it since my lunch break is usually wrapping up and I have to get back to work and have no time to f around trying to get a new sandwich. When it's good it's almost perfect. When it's not, the meat is somewhere between a Frisbee and a hockey puck in texture, the breading falls off like..... something gross. The bun is somehow ok through all of it, like that brave guy at the plane crash who just stays alive through sheer willpower. But enough about that. All of the other items on the menu have been totally consistent and good. The loaded tots are a pass, but the Mac is solid. The Cubano is pitch perfect, or just slightly too toasted if there's anything wrong at all. The burger is solid and worth it. The service is always, always friendly. The space is bright and open, a little echoey but not too bad. The beer selection isn't amazing but it's always solid. It's kid friendly. If you sit outside, be aware that the train that goes by randomly. It is close, loud, and lays on the horn like it's got a fever and the only prescription is more train horn. Parking: It can be tough sometimes especially mid day. Kid-friendliness: There are usually people here with kids. Idk why you want to bring kids to a bar, but someone who does obviously knows enough to make that call multiple times.
Great beer & awesome food. Family friendly fun atmosphere. During rush times there tends to be a line but totally worth the wait. Loved the music & murals. The one order taker/bartender was slammed, in desperate need of help all while being friendly & level headed!
This was an absolutely phenomenal find! My family and I stopped here for a bite to eat on our trip up north and I was not disappointed!! I had the BLT and their loaded tots. The sandwich ingredients were fresh and delicious the lettuce was crisp and the tomatoes succulent! And given how much I generally dislike tomatoes that's saying something. The tots to die for!! Hands down the best I've ever had! They were beautifully crisp on the outside and gave way to a delightfully soft chewy inside and best of all they weren't dripping in grease. It was present but they weren't the soggy school lunch tots you remember as a kid! The whole experience set the bar high and exceeded expectations! This goes for the staff as well! The wonderful person who took care of us whose name I cannot recall because I was dead tired after 12 hours of driving was friendly and warm and took great care of us! We will definitely be making a return trip on the way back to California!
