Found this wonderful little gem and had to go get library cards for all 3 of my homeschooled littles. This place was great and the staff was super helpful and so nice and welcoming as we are new to the area. They have a nice selection of everything new and old as you'd expect, but it was just so clean and organized with plenty of space between aisles and not super crowded together. The computers were easy to get onto and use, the kids play area was nice and clean, and there was plenty of things offered for the kids from younger to teen events. They have a very nice website to navigate that the staff was kind enough to give us a run through on. Parking area is nice with shaded areas and plenty of parking. We plan to come in at least once a week for new books and activities they offer. So happy we came in.
I love the library but I have a couple of issues. I like that I can save books that I want to read to a private list. So I have a list for romance and and another for mystery thrillers arranged in media format for example have a list for ebook romance under my account. Here's the problem. There is no way to sort my list by author which is aggravating. If I have an author that I really like and would like to read more in their series, I have to go through the whole list of 200 titles looking for that author. I have already emailed about this issue and suggestion and nothing has changed. The other issue I have is that children are allowed to run around and scream their heads off while their parent is standing right there. The library is a place where people read and study. I was trying to read the back of a book and this three-year-old kid was running around screaming climbing on things. I'm only in the library once or twice a week and this happens quite often. The library staff said nothing to the parent. There should be a big sign when you're walking into the library that says QUIET PLEASE. It is common etiquette.
I believe this was the last Kids Summer Saturday at The Burleson Library, but check out their Kid's Storytime during the week. Singing, activity, and fun!
Nice library, friendly staff. The atmosphere is not geared towards studying. Library and a daycare do not mix well.
My grandson and I really enjoy story time and the craft related to the story. We appreciate the safe, fun, and social learning environment.
Clean, quiet and extremely friendly staff. The kids section is filled well and entertaining and everything is organized and easy to see!
This is such a nice library. My son loved the children's area and did not want to leave. We participated in the summer reading program and they gave awesome prizes. Their bathrooms were very clean. The staff was very helpful and friendly.
Nice local library with great service without the old musty book smell. Top notch meeting room. Keep in mind kids normally use the room, so the tables have a unique artistic flair that will bring a smile to your face.
I was there to renew my library card lady was very helpful and very friendly if you enjoy reading they have a good selection of books new and older
Libraries are so underrated. People need to visit a library on their area. There is so much to do for kids, and adult seniors.
