Love this store for its product choices, especially in the purse / handbags section! Out of the discount stores, I think Burlington has the best selections & cheapest prices. At this particular store they are on it when it comes to shoplifting. I don't know about the shoplifters or what happens when caught, but I do know they will constantly follow you around & keep a real close, suspicious eyeball on you to the point you can't enjoy your shopping experience.
I really like this store. Have found some really nice things in the kitchen and home decor sections. They also have a very large selection of purses and bags. The employees are wonderful and the store is bright and clean. I'll go here for things before checking out Marshall's or Ross.
They have a baby section. Furniture. Stuff for the bathroom and kitchen. Make up. Shoes & purses. Luggage & duffle bags. Big n tall men's section. They have a really big parking lot. I suggest going to the bathroom before you get there as the bathroom is closed.
Deplorable Corporate Decision - Shameful Inaccessibility My wife and I have been loyal customers of this Burlington Store for quite a few years now, but it's with profound regret that we have decided to withdraw our patronage. Our issue is not with the employees or the products of the store, which we have always appreciated. No, our problem stems from the recent ill-considered corporate decision to deny access to the store's restrooms for all customers. Such a strategy is, in our opinion, a flagrant disregard for basic customer service standards. While I can somewhat understand the logistical or even hygienic reasons they might use to justify this drastic measure, I firmly believe there are better ways to handle potential problems than to outright restrict a basic facility like a restroom. Penalizing everyone for the misdemeanors of a few is, to put it lightly, a terrible approach to running a business. One could argue that it's just a restroom, and it shouldn't affect the overall shopping experience. Still, the inability to use the restroom during a long shopping trip or with young kids, or for older customers, or simply for anyone who suddenly finds themselves in need is a significant inconvenience. It not only deteriorates the customer's comfort but also impacts the perception of the brand negatively. The irony is that this decision is in no way reflective of the store employees who have always displayed top-notch service to us. It's corporate's decision, and it's a poor one. Therefore, I am giving this Burlington Store a one-star rating. It's not a comment on their products or staff, but a direct response to their shortsighted corporate decision. We are disappointed and deeply saddened by this policy change. This isn't the Burlington we grew to love, and unless there's a significant change in their stance, we won't be returning. I just want to say that corporate decisions should always consider the implications they have on customers. The current one is a massive failure in that regard. A restroom might not seem a big deal to some, but for many of us, this is a matter of principle, respect, and dignity. You can and should do better!
I usually go here a lot I never had any problems until today I went with my children they put toys in my basket and then we would decide which toy to buy but a man rudely asked if we were going to buy them to which I replied that we were just looking he told my children who had to put the toys where they were as if they were going to steal them or something! He said they had to “clean up” but as soon as we left the toys he went after us I guess he thought we wouldn't pay! It is worth mentioning that the store is always messy to say that they are going to "clean" in short they should hire people with better customer service I will definitely not return here
Once a five star business for me but no longer. While in Tacoma I stopped in to purchase a few items but before I began shopping I needed the restroom. When I asked the direction of the restroom I was told no access allowed by the public only employees. Shocker! Who’s paying the bills, employees or your customers. I’m sorry if you don’t respect customers enough to allow access to the restrooms then I don’t respect your business model enough to give you my money. Eventually other customers will figure out the same thing then where will you be? I always thought employees were a cost to run business, not the other way around. I found out my Lacey store has the same policy and told its company wide.
They need to improve their customer service! Last visit, their dressing rooms were closed as they didn’t have enough employees. Today I was told their bathrooms are not for the public and they’re locked. While I was trying on clothes an employee approached my teenagers that were waiting for me and told them not to mess with things and that they better not be ‘fucking lying’. Totally unacceptable customer service! Their prices are good but I’d prefer to be treated respectfully than get a good deal. Their employee Rachelle tried making our experience better by apologizing, allowing me to use the bathroom, and giving us a 10% discount.
They cut their store in half. Leaving out a lot of the more common sizes their clothing section used to offer. They kept their weird makeup section. Shoe selection is rare. Overall I think their downgrade renovation was stupid. If they have any nice clothes at all anymore I’m guessing the employees get to buy it first. Also you need to ask to use the restroom now thanks to the homeless encampments. Employees were prks about it as well. Thumbs down.
I used to love to leisurely shop at Burlington, but I went in today and to my unhappy surprise the restrooms are not at all available to shoppers. It sure seems to me that they could work out some other solutions to theft than that...maybe an escort or combination lock..something. It's not fair to all of us older customers that don't steal. I will not be supporting the store anymore.
I've watched prices rise and quality tank for years but occasionally would get a lucky find. But my wife and I came in after work today and while shopping I made the unfortunately untimely discovery that they no longer have restrooms, not even for customers. We had to leave much quicker than we usually do and they likely missed out on at least a couple purchases as we often shop from the entire store. I guess in the future we'll go to Ross or TJ Maxx instead. Update: The fitting rooms are also closed, in a clothing store. Yikes. I left and am now on my way to Ross.
