With over 14,000 students, Butte College is a nationally accredited community college located just 15 miles from Chico, CA. We offer a quality education where students can earn Associate's Degrees, train for over 100 career options, or take general education classes to transfer to CSU or UC.
The VRC was officially opened in May of 2008 and now serves about 15% of the Veterans and Dependent population enrolled at Butte. Our operation was made possible by contributions from local businesses and the unwavering support of Disabled Student Services.
We currently offer free internet and faxing services, as well as a lounge with free coffee. We provide up-to-date benefits information as well as Federal Financial Aid (FAFSA) application assistance, California Board of Governor's (BOG) fee waiver, Cal-Vet fee waiver and GI Bill application support and a referral program to a wide variety of veteran-friendly support services.
