We just wrapped up a 5 day stay here in site 23 and left very happy with our choice to stay here. The customer service was great, the pool was in good shape and cleaned regularly. We used the onsite washing machines which was a nice bonus. Our site was great and quiet with trees along the river. We rode bikes on their expansive property. We didn't want to move to the next campsite.
Nice. Wife says one of the best campgrounds during our 8400 miles trip. Easy in and out of pull through sites. Some back in waterfront sites. Gated security. Winding road to get there but worth the drive.
We just stayed a weekend here in one of the tiny homes. The house and grounds were immaculate. We loved being on the porch with a cup of coffee overlooking the lily pads on the water. Beautiful!Rooms: 5/5
We absolutely loved our stay here! My kids said it was their favorite vacation. We stayed here for a weekend to visit family in the area. The cabin was very clean and ready for us. We got in late from traveling, but they made it easy to figure out what to do. We rented kayaks and a paddle board from the office so we could all spend time on the river together. Life jackets were included which was awesome! They let us keep them til morning so we didn’t have to rush. The owners and employees were all so kind and helpful! We will absolutely be coming back! It was quiet and peaceful. Everyone staying was respectful of each other so there was no excessive noise at night. A family of ducks walked right by our cabin every morning. There are lots of birds to see too. This location along the river is beautiful. You can wade in the area in front of the cabins and then go over a bit to the actual river. Thank you so much for your hospitality!
Gorgeous, peaceful tent campsites right on the river. We had Turtle Falls, which was an ideal spot for swimming, fishing and kayaking. But you can't go wrong with any of the riverside tent sites. We certainly got our money's worth with the $50 tandem kayak for 24 hours. Clean restrooms and showers, friendly attendants. Definitely hope to return!
I won’t stay at this campground again. Management harassed us from the time we got there until the time we left. They only allow one vehicle per campsite which is fine but the campsite next to us was unoccupied. When we arrived and were setting up, the other vehicle in our party parked in the empty campsite so we could unload everything into the RV. 5 minutes after we parked in the empty site management began complaining telling us we needed to move. I’ll repeat what I said, the site was EMPTY for the entire weekend. We only parked there long enough to unload the vehicle. Meanwhile, there was another campsite that had an unoccupied vehicle parked in it and when we left the campground and returned 5 hours later the vehicle was still parked in the empty site, but management didn’t do anything about this vehicle? Why just mine? Everyone at the park that were permanent tenants were always watching us and every-time we did something they thought was wrong, they called management, and of course the harassment continued from the management team. But the person in the campsite next to us was allowed to let their dogs bark constantly, and I never saw management say anything to them. Management made it clear we were not wanted in this campground from the moment we arrived. The campground itself was beautiful but the management team needs an exceptional amount of customer service training.
Very nice campground with several secluded tent sites. Lots of wildlife to watch, great river access. Only complaint, out of their control, is the highway can be noisy depending on which site you're in.Rooms: 5/5
Nice campground right on the water. Lots of deer and ducks to watch. Very well maintained.Rooms: 5/5
Only stayed one night, tried to take it all in... Pool was open later, which is nice after driving all day, setting up, and getting kids fed. And the pool was COLD! Finally a cold pool... We've been to so many campgrounds where the water is like a bathtub. The grounds are nice, the road is a little narrow, and if you can back your camper, the best spots are back-ins next to the river. Staff was very friendly and attentive, they stopped by a couple times while we were out and asked if we needed anything. Full hooks ups, looks like they just put down some fresh sod.
We loved this place! Very friendly staff, clean, beautiful scenery, well maintained and super quiet. We had a great time hiking and fishing with our 10 month old. Very family friendly. We stayed in one of the tiny homes and it was brand new, clean and had everything we need. We will definitely come back and would recommend it for a great weekend get away in the hill country. You feel like you are miles from anywhere but Kerrville is right down the road with lots of restaurants. Loved this place!
