To be a campground less than 50 miles away from Cincinnati Ohio and a very quick weekend trip I must say that Miss Pam, the owner, and the establishment was EXCELLENT! The grounds were very well maintained and the bathroom and shower facilities were EXCELLENT as well. I'll definitely be going back there to stay for a weekend!
I found this campground by accident and it's the BEST ACCIDENT a girl could have had happen! It's a small, quiet place with only 30 something camp sites. Some are full hook up, some are just water and electric. Of course, the best part of staying here are the owners, Glenn and Pam! They gave been VERY helpful to me, when I was having an electrical issue. In fact, Glenn figured out exactly what the issue was and saved me a bunch if money! They have given very good directions, when asked and the campground is located in the country but yet close to major cities like Lexington, Alexandria and Cincinnati! Great place, great people! Give 'em a try, you WON'T be disappointed!
We called ahead and asked if there was any spots. They said yes so we drove on over. When we got there they told us to drive down and look at spots 17-19. So we did. No fire pit and no picnic table. We told them we would like a spot with a fire and picnic table. She said you can’t always have it your way. I laughed and said you can’t have any of my money ether. And we left How rude it’s a sham because it looked nice
We were very disappointed in this camp site. The grounds and walking trails were unkempt. When the owner ask if we would like to stay longer than the month we had payed for I told her no. She then ask why and I told her it wasn't what we thought it was going to be. She then asked me what I meant by that. After I told her why we were not happy she became very rude. I would not recommend this campsite to anyone. The trails which were listed as something to do were unkempt, the play ground was in disrepair and the shower house was locked up most of the time. When it was unlocked the hot water was turned off. When I mentioned these things she was very rude. She was very unprofessional.
We loved it. Super nice family that runs the place. Everything is clean, the electric 30a had no issue and there's a lot of full hookup sites. We'd stay here again.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this campground!!!! Cabin Run Creek is the place to stay in KY. Beautiful surroundings ... plenty of things for the kids to do too. Very well kept campground. You can feel the pride from both Glenn and Pam ... Talk About Southern Hospitality!! We will definitely be back!
I have been staying here for almost a month and i Absolutely love how peaceful and quiet it is and i like that its not like most campgrounds ive been to its a place to get away and if your a writer or just trying to be away from home this is the place to do so.. The owner Pam was very helpful with get us set in and the bath house is super cleaned
There isnt enough space on here to type my experience with Cabin Run Creek Campground. However there was plenty of picture space: I always heard pictures spoke louder than words. If you dont care that someone could careless if you live of die, they just want your money. If you dont care to get text all the time constantly reminding you how much rent is and when rent is due. Before its even due and your not late. If you don't care about not having a bathhouse. If you don't care there is nothing close by. If you dont care about being disrespected and talked down to. If there is no place on earth. Then yes you may want to stop by and experience crayon eater campground. I had to screenshot my review since it was long. I also screenshot our wonderful text message we shared together Pam and download them on here so everyone can share the memories with us...Hope yall Enjoy. HAPPY CAMPING
This is a wonderful campground I stayed at for a month Sept 18 - Oct 18-2019 . the owners are very hospitable and will be at the campsite at a moments notice if you have any problems. there is also a on call repair man at RV's R US in Higginsport Ohio. parking here is tight and unless you have a open spot next to your camper you will have to park in front of your camper or down by the showers. they do not allow parking on the grass which is very understandable. They do not have a laundry room but there is a very nice facility in Brooksville that is only a 15 minute drive away. Be sure to bring a plethora of leveling blocks for your tires, stabilizers, and jack. I personally used 2 stacks of plastic leveling blocks and about 6 inches under my passenger side tires. The owners have been working on leveling the campsites as best as possible but some of the sites are built on the side of a small hill. As of the time of this post they are installing a new water system to allow for winter camping on the east side of the campground. The campground Is Right off the AA highway HWY 9 and there is a large hill that you will hear semis jake-braking going down all the time if noise concerns you then keep this in mind. overall I was happy with my month stay and I would definitely go here again.
Stayed here driving through during the first weekend of October. Pam was so helpful and prices were very cheap compared to where we are fromMI. Also really like how the campsite backed up to the tree line instead of another loop of campsites.
