I had an appointment for 8:20 this morning. I arrived at exactly 8:30. The receptionist told me they have a 10 minute late policy, the provider cannot see me. I had not been told about this when I had scheduled. I asked if they could make an exception; the temp was -10 this morning and it took longer for me to clean my windshield, etc. She said the PA was still in with a patient, but she would ask her as soon as she could. "So if I were on time, I would still be waiting now?" " That is correct." About 10 minutes later she had an answer from PA Landry. She would not "have time" to keep the appointment, but she would prescribe medication if I needed it. I appreciate punctuality, but as I said the unusually cold weather put me behind and I did what I could. The receptionist said she was still with a patient when I checked in, so she was already behind schedule, of her own doing. It would not have put her further behind to keep my appointment. Kind of amusing. So if your insurance tells you this provider is in-network, and you plan to schedule, keep in mind they have a hidden late policy. They will cancel your appointment any chance they can, probably to get the provider back on schedule when she's running behind. At least your receptionist confirmed you will not be billing me. I'll hold you to it.
I had a tooth crumble just before Christmas that was causing migraines and went to see Dr Youssef on Dec 30. He barely looked at my tooth and said that it was infected and I needed a root canal. I wasn't able to get on the schedule until Feb 3. I got a phone call the morning of my appointment letting me know that he couldn't do the type of root canal I needed and they had to reschedule me with a different dentist that practices at their Garden City and Montpelier locations. They rescheduled me for Feb 9 and didn't tell me where or what time. I tried calling at least 5 times that morning trying to get a new antibiotic and figure out where my appointment was with no answer. I finally called the Garden City office and they were able to let me know when and where my appointment was and tried to transfer me to the Logan office several times. Still no answer. Finally that afternoon my husband tried calling a different department and they were able to take a message for me. I went to my appointment with the other dentist and found out that I "wasn't even close" to needing a root canal. I was in a lot of pain for an extremely unnecessary amount of time.
Thanks to Dr. Troesoyer actually listening to my concerns I figured out what was causing me pain and was referred to a specialist. I was in pain for over 10 years and nobody listened to my concerns until I went here. Best doctor I've ever had.
Good luck getting them to answer their phones and theyre terrible about getting your prescription refilled even after meeting with your dr and calling them several times to do it. They'll say they'll send it over and never do
Went to get a 72 hour travel PRC Covid test after being on a call with a nurse there and my insurance company and being assured it would be 100% covered if I went there. Morning of my appointment, I was the only patient in the office when I was called back, the male nurse said he was going to get the PCR kit and be right back. Just over an hour later I exited the room to find someone and ask what was going on as several nurses or personnel were just chatting away outside my door. No one knew where the male nurse went but sent another nurse in 10 minutes later saying he was with another patient and that she’d do the test instead now. When she returned with the kit she asked me how it was done and proceeded to read the paper in the kit out loud. She didn’t know how to swab a nose and do Covid test????? Then said she didn’t know PCR’s came back in 72 hours. Ummm that’s the whole point of a 72 hour PCR travel Covid test, how does a “nurse” not know this by now. She then assured me I would get the results via email within the 72 hours before I crossed the boarder for my travels. Needless to say I received a call after 72 hours had passed and then was told I had to contact the records department to get the results and then records wanted me to fill out a form and submit it in order to receive the email. This place is a joke! Then my insurance was billed differently then how we were told and I got a bill. When I tried calling their billing department and explaining that this was like ordering and paying for a meal that never came, she didn’t get it and said it must be my insurances fault as they always bill it like that. I told her the same test was free at Walmart in Ogden and she said there’s no free Covid tests in Utah or the states, umm what???? I seriously question everything about this place and would NEVER EVER recommend anyone going here unless you like to throw your money away. So disgusted with my entire experience!
They really care and do everything they can to help. I greatly appreciate them. Nice office as well.
As far as my medical care experience goes, 5 stars! Ian Troesoyer has been a fantastic physician throughout my 2 years coming here. 0 complaints about that, he really is great—he has listened to me and gotten the right treatments for not 1 but 2 previously undiagnosed conditions, and you can tell he truly cares about the patients here individually. I could not have had a better experience. On the other hand, my administrative experience here has been abysmal at best. I've been coming here since 2020 and they hiked their prices in February by more than 50% without telling their existing patients! I was furious. I had 2 appointments in close proximity one at the end of January, the next in February and paid the original price on the first one, but had to fork out way more than I was expecting for the second appointment. I get price raises, but the total lack of communication cost me $195 when I was expecting to pay $125 at the time, I was uninsured and self-pay. There was no advance warning, no mail-out, no phone call, not even a notification from the front desk when I checked in for my appointment. Not a fun surprise 3 weeks later for a full-time college student. Another time, I called the office to get my prescription approved for refill since they didn't respond to the pharmacy this was 3 days in advance to when I would run out of my prescription, and it didn't get approved until after I was out of town for the weekend. I hate to be annoying, but I called once a day to try and get something done about it, but 2 out of the 3 people I talked to obviously didn't care and dismissed it without any effort. Most recently, I sent in a request to get my medical records for my life insurance proof of insurability. I emailed that request in about 2 weeks ago, heard back the next day that they had forwarded it to the correct department for processing, and then I proceeded to hear nothing for the next 2 weeks. I finally emailed them again 2 days ago and they ~suddenly~ had my request all ready to go, but seriously I feel like getting anything from anyone other than my physician costs a freaking arm and a leg. It's ridiculous. The administration should not have to be coddled and hounded to get info to a patient in a timely manner. Unfortunately, it's not just me that's had this experience—keep scrolling through the reviews and you'll find plenty more that only confirm that this behavior is not new and has been going unaddressed for literal YEARS. Overall, I really wish Ian practiced somewhere else because I've loved having him as my physician, but everything else has been so far below what I would consider to be worth almost $200/visit. Oh and by the way, CVCHC, don't bother commenting below this review asking me to call you to see how you can improve. The proof is in the pudding—this is just one of many angry reviews caused by your lack of basic professionalism. There is no excuse for the way your patients have been treated, especially after years of getting the same feedback. Get your act together.
Dr. Nielsen was a horrible and didn't provide proper care for me or my son. he was too busy with his assumptions and judgments. My son almost died because of him not doing what I asked for. Which was another ultrasound. I was concerned which I expressed. His response "you'll meet your son soon enough calm down". When I did finally go into labor I had to have an emergency C-section because my son was in distress. He was not going to make it if I gave natural childbirth. I was at a passport full term and I gave birth to a 4 lb 11 oz baby 18 in Long. Had to be put in ink you and oxygen. Turns out that my placenta had died two and a half months prior and my baby boy was not getting any nutrients and stop growing around then which of the part when I start asking for the ultrasound. This was four years ago and it still makes me sick. Dr Nielson treated me and my unborn child.
I visited the North Logan clinic and had an awesome experience. Dr. Peery and my hygienist Taylor I think were so friendly and helpful. I was fit in last minute and was a few minutes late to my appointment sorry again but everyone was so positive and I was very well taken care of. I am so grateful for the time and care they put into their patient care.
Dr. Peery is a cool guy! He did a root canal on me and it didn’t even hurt Apart from that he’s incredibly nice and good at what he does.
