Wise cup is hands down the best coffee shop in Oak Park and even the surrounding area for just about anyone who wants quality coffee, coffee shop food, service, and especially a nice peaceful interment to work or have a nice little conversation. On top of all of this, they have coming from me, an Indian person pretty much the only descent Indian food in the area with the monthly pop-ups, as well as samosas and deferent Indian drinks available daily. And as the cherry on top it is a locally, Asian, and female owned business. I could not recommend them more.
Small neighborhood spot, where locals hang out, very friendly service, unique handcrafted drinks. I had a very good cold brew after a long time. Will definitely be back for samosas. Staff did a very good job!
Always amazing lattes, and great food too. A really special little place in Oak Park!
At the begin I liked going here for my regular coffee run. However, the quality has gone down and had a terrible experience with someone who made my coffee the last time I went. I order two cappuccinos one with non-fat milk and one with oak milk due to diet restrictions. When I received my coffee I ask which cappuccino was which and the lady who made the coffee said one was oat and one was regular milk and I asked if the "regular one" was non-fat milk as I had order and she rudely said "yeah it is". Once we tried our coffees we both realized we had received half empty coffees with full fat milk. This was upset due to the emphasis we put on the type of milk we wanted. I would not recommend this place anymore!! and I'm deeply annoyed I wasted 16 bucks on expensive coffee that was subpar and completely wrong!
This place has a real DIY feel that you just don’t see anymore, and it makes everything feel more cozy. Filled with vintage furniture, and friendly down-to-Earth people. Coffee is great, I think they brew Sputnik. Prices are the best in the area. There is a lovely touch of South Asian heritage present in the Chai and Samosa offerings, both of which I buy regularly. Lots of tables; people work from here often, but it also has a lot of people who come to chat with friends as well—so good for either.
A really great coffee shop in the downtown area. The service was excellent, and they had a lot of different drink options. They also sell some cool merch. Parking: Pay parking is available in a nearby garage and lot. I believe they have some street parking too.
Many varities of coffee drinks all very good. Also delicious teas. Has pop-up Indian food you can order in advance the first weekend of the month haven't tried yet but plan to soon. My dog, Odin also recommends the pup cup.Food: 5/5
I've been here 3 times so far and every time has been wonderful! First, the prices cannot be beat. The service is fast and friendly, the baked goods are as close to perfect as possible it's hard to find pastries that aren't overly sweet- but I've found one!, and the drinks are on point. My favorite is the mocha, just the right amount of chocolate and sweetness. It's a great place to have a quiet moment enjoying the sunlight that streams in through their large windows or to meet a friend for a comforting drink. I've definitely found a new favorite coffee shop.
Amazing coffee!!!…. Took a star off cause it’s the slowest service I’ve experienced for coffee. Only reason I go back is that the coffee is often worth the wait. Food: 5/5
A peaceful respite right on the bustle of Lake Street in beautiful, historic Oak Park. It has the vibe of a relaxing, non-alcoholic local pub. The coffee and tea selections, prepared by the friendly and helpful staff are varied and top-notch, and the barista beverages irresistible. It's a place my wife and I return to frequently, for the wonderful drinks, pastries, socializing and people watching. Oh...and the special monthly, Indian street-food popup is not to be missed. Parking: Convenient garage located a short 1/2 block away with the first 45 minutes free!
