This place is absolutely amazing!! We're from Chicago and arrived in Green Bay late and hungry. We stopped in super close to closing time and were absolutely blown away. As we would find out our waitress, Amanda, was also the chef and owner. Her recommendations were perfect and some of the best food I've ever had: most ingredients locally grown, sourced, and even hand picked! We had the Salmon Mousse, Wild Mushrooms, Artichoke Hearts, and the Balsamic Brie Grilled Figs OMG!. The flavor combinations were so fresh and inspiring. Amanda is super friendly, fun, and accommodating. I wish we could've have chatted longer! Please support this business as well as her 3 others. It's worth every penny and should be in all the attraction magazines!
Wow, what a beautiful little spot! Was passing by Green Bay, couldn't find a table in downtown area so we ended up in Madrid tapas, decor and atmosphere is really something we didn't feel in US, very European style. Started off with some patatas bravas which was amazing, some dry meats and blueberries, which was good too, but pricy for that amount. Cheese stuffed peppers were great too, but olives were nothing special. For entrees we had paellas with octopus and chicken and lamb chops. Paella was cooked good, but had odd taste because of green sauce on top, there was very small piece of octopus, which wasn't that tender. Service was great, she was helpful and friendly. Place is great, food could be more fresh and better! Must visit tho!
We had an extremely delicious meal and fantastic experience. The restaurant is a beautiful and unique environment. The drinks are wonderful, and the food is delicious. We got the lamb, ham wrapped dates, and the salmon mouse small plate. These were great choices! Try the Ryanrita and Paloma!
Wow! I can't believe there weren't more people here. We were by ourselves on a Tuesday around 7:30. All 3 of the tapas we tried were delicious. Don't remember the exact names, but some sort of potatoes, bacon wrapped figs, and stuffed peppers. The decor and ambiance were unique. It definitely didn't feel like your typical Green Bay sports bar. Don't get me wrong, I love a good sports bar. But this was an experience you don't find often in Northeast Wisconsin. I highly recommend checking it out.
Place was filthy. The bathroom smelled like urine and the toliets have never been cleaned. The food was just reheated. They had no ice. Almost everything was out on the menu. Serving sizes were limited on the plate because inventory was so low. I doubt there is even a kitchen in the restaurant. We came home and made a frozen pizza which was far better than what we were served.
Our server Leo was working HARD. He was the server, cook, and bartender for us while we were there. This poor guy. He was out of a lot of stuff but definitely made it work. A lot of things were slightly off from the menu descriptions, just because of supply issues, but it was all delicious. He had great recommendations for both food and wine, and we left happy. A quirky hidden gem in downtown Green Bay.
The owner has her children’s toys and play pens all over the establishment. The babies are constantly screaming, She makes the somewhat older ones do the work for her when she isn’t feeling it. Which includes serving alcohol underage.. The place is down right dirty, sticky even along with being covered in a layer of dust. It should never have its over priced food served in its condition. Amanda is the most unprofessional person I’ve ever encountered and I don’t understand how this place is still open.
Decided to try this place with a friend on. Thursday. When we walked in, we were immediately greeted by one of the staff and guided to one of the tables. The waiter grabbed our drink orders and my friend enjoyed one of their cocktails. The waiter took the time to go over the menu and was transparent about what items they were not serving tonight ie. Market price was too high or some of their inventory had expired. This was appreciated as it showed what we were getting was good ingredients that were prepared properly. We decided on 5 dishes with some helpful suggestions. It was a nice relaxing evening and we didn’t feel rushed. Each dish was brought out in a timely manner, had nice presentation, and full of flavor! We were satisfied after eating. The waiter was forthright and apologetic about their card reader being down but had an ATM available or accepted Venmo. Overall, was happy with our experience and I plan on coming back! Vegetarian options: Cashew truffles, Patatas Bravas, stuffed peppers, bread board, and stuffed mushrooms!
Very good food and nice drinks. It was fun to try new things. Unfortunately, they were out of a lot of menu items at the time. The owner and her daughter were very kind. It does need some cleaning, though. Everything needed to be wiped down and dusted. The bar area is very cluttered. The restaurant is cute inside. It's pricier than other fine restaurants in town. They take cash only, but they do have an ATM, and she will take venmo.
Ok wow. Lots to unload here. First of all, I’m only giving 2 stars because the food was so delicious and the staff was unbelievably kind. But this establishment was SHOCKINGLY filthy. Dirt EVERYWHERE. It felt like walking into somebody’s home and not in a good way at all. Dirty shoes under a wire rack in the dining room, a pack of diapers on a basket in the dining room, and dirty napkins on top of a rack in the food preparation area. Just when I thought it was bad, my fiancé went in the restrooms and said to me, “we need to leave. Now.” Disturbing bathrooms that haven’t been cleaned in a very, very long time. Questionable substances on the wall, rugs under the urinals stained and moldy, and caked on dirt on the floors. How has this place not been shut down yet? While the food is seriously good, it’s hard to overlook the filthy environment. The staff is nice, but seemingly ignorant of the filth. I don’t think we’ll be returning.
