Description

We, Steve & Brenda Hecker, bought Home Town Café and Catering November 1st, 1994 and decided that we wanted to make a mission to always deliver that "made from scratch" home cooking that everyone hopes for. We are family oriented and love seeing new faces come through our doors. Home Town is a nice family restaurant that offers lots of varieties of foods.

Great place. Right off Mason on Green Bay. Locally owned. Gone here many times to get soup to go when not feeling well. Finally… meeting some friends here on 8/8/22@6:30pm. I love broasted chicken and heard they really have some good chicken. So I ordered that with hash browns as a potato side that has onion on top. View the pics. They run a lunch and dinner buffet and Dona brunch on Sundays. I was able to hit the salad bar and get some soup. They had chicken dumpling soup. Very good. I also tried the chicken rice soup. Both soups were ‘off.’ Very salty. I asked for some fresh greens for my salad cuz it was pretty picked over. Waitress was helpful. Inside very clean. Great staff. Chicken was very hot and fresh. Made fresh to order. Very hot and juicy. Until the next review, Steve-O out!
We went for breakfast and they were offering a breakfast buffet on Saturdays and Sundays. That looked like a great option. We ordered from the menu and the food was excellent! We tried the omelet, skillet, and some pancakes. The service was great and the food was ready very quickly. Large portions served super fast. We both agree we'll definitely be back to try the other breakfast foods!
Great sitdown restaurant. Great breakfast. Very decorative. Food bar all u can eat. This was my first time to green bay n this wonderful dining experience Oh also...homemade jams n coffee pot left at table for coffee lovers
The servings were HUGE and food was delicious. Be prepared to take a box home. The staff was very friendly and the walls were full of Green Bay memorabilia. Great place to grab some good comfort food.
Friday fish buffet was great! Perch, salmon, etc. Twice baked mashed potatoes, all good. Very good cole slaw. Cherry pie and ice cream for dessert!Food: 5/5
I love this place. The service is always so attentive. I love their home made jam. It really is a Home Town feeling when you walk in the door

I WAS FIRED THIS MORNING FOR MY VERY FIRST CALL IN. Myself, and my 3 babies all are sick. My two older ones and myself all have flu, and my one year old has RSV. I worked hard for this place, and even came in to cover other people’s shift when they were sick. Save your money, and support a business who supports their workers.
Same great service, food & atmosphere. Always clean, food is always fresh & tastes so good no matter what you order!! FYI-they close @ 2pm on Sunday during the winter months. Even tho we got there about 1:20 we still received excellent food & service! Great local hometown restaurant!!Food: 5/5
I've been to hometown Cafe before and came back because I was in Green Bay for a wedding. The staff was always cheerful and attentive and the food was very good especially the coffee LOL.Food: 5/5
