Obviously, the views are fantastic and the atmosphere is great during the warmer months. However, this is extremely expensive and maybe only caters to the bougie hotshots Not somewhere I would stop with a family or to grab a beer as the bill would make my eyes water.
Absolutely wonderful staff and really good fresh squeezed juice and iced coffee. The poke salad was also quite delicious but the salmon on their “Poke” salad was cooked… which would make it just a salmon salad rather than poke, the definition of poke being “a Hawaiian dish of marinated raw fish or seafood, often served over rice.” I definitely wouldn’t have ordered the salmon if I knew.
Just SO overpriced...$20 for a less-than-Panera quality sourdough turkey sammich which they called a burger with stale crisps, $25 for 3 shrimp tacos that weren't as good as any neighborhood Mexican restaurant and $14 for a premade cocktail?! C'mon guys...Either the prices need to reflect the quality of the sub-par pub grub or the offerings need a SUBSTANTIAL boost in quality to match the prices. I'm totally ok with paying $20-$30 for a plate if the quality is there, but in this case, it wasn't...at all...The server was nice but considering it wasn't at all crowded, the food took some time to arrive which didn't help the overall experience. I guess this place would be ok for a beer and only beer and people watching but beyond that, I'd pass on the food.
Beautiful place, nice staff, unfortunately the food was mediocre.Food: 3/5
It’s a nice setting, and the margarita was good. However, upon arrival, I was told I could only stay for 30 minutes despite the patio being mostly empty and remaining that way throughout my stay see photo. Worse, when I asked for water, I was told the only option was to purchase it in a plastic bottle. Everything about that is unacceptable. Finally, when I asked for the bill the server left the machine on the table for me to check myself out. Customer service training for the servers and hostess would be helpful.
A well situated open air grill near DuSable Harbor. Food not very good but the location is nice. Meatball Parm gd the driest meatballs I had ever seen. Calamari rubbery but OK. Flat bread undercooked / somewhat raw. Saving grace was the delicious French fries. Service polite but very slow. We will not return.
Nice place with gray views! Their food was good in general. We got the grilled cheese burger and the caprese. The caprese was really good and is pictured here. The burger was ok with mediocre flavor.
It was a hot day today, so Cafe Michelle looked like an oasis in a desert. Right by the lake next to the boat docks. The umbrellas offered a nice shade for outside seating. I ordered unsweet ice tea to quenche the thirst, then mimosa and a bottle of water. they asked me if I wanted smart water, then brought me regular anyway. I had to ask for the mimosa for a second time. The waitress said the printer broke and my ticket must have been lost. I also ordered roasted elote salad, but the elote ended up being just some corn and little cubes of queso de fresco. The salad was a dissappointment for $18. The drinks added another 18 dollars. I would say a bit pricey for the quality. Service was very friendly, though.
Food and drinks are pretty overpriced. We had the tuna nachos which were $24 but were missing sauce and toppings, so pretty dry.Food: 2/5
I don't know why this place would get 1 star reviews. Everything went smoothly and promptly. 1 Customer service was Great 2 they upgraded a dish for the same price 3 view was perfect 4 food warm and delicious. Will definitely be coming back to watch the fireworks from here
