24 July 2023 - 5 Stars First time at this location. Stopped here while traveling with 7 youth 14 - 18 in age / male & female on the way to visit Seattle University. The total cost, including entrées, beverage, tax, tip, and my meal, was $126. The location was extremely clean, with a staff member constantly clearing and cleaning tables. All the youth found something they wanted to eat. From a Vegi Salad -to- Steak Burrito. Having chicken, pork, beef, and vegi all in one place was very helpful for me as the driver. It was nice to have large tables to sit at as well. I will return!!
Im soo annoyed because there’s no way I can eat this without having to re-wrap, or wasting the tortilla. The staff collectively simply suck, I stood around waiting of course don’t speak to the customer waiting on you and there wasn’t even a line! Please just do it right so I can just eat! I like the lynnwood location better by our church. The flavor and service is on point. But issaquah… y’all gotta do better. For example.. don’t have an employee complaining about the whooping $8 spent on a burrito, after all I spent $15 as a business owner myself, that’s poor etiquette on behalf of your employees. The lack of “welcome in”.. whatever customer service is different here as whole. ‍ enjoy the review come for the basic flavor of food, poor service and mediocre experience
I was looking for some things a little better than Taco Bell after a long day and I saw these guys had birria tacos as a special so I was super excited. I got some of the birria tacos and a burrito paid the extra 2 dollars for one of their specials the carne asada and a key lime pie. Order was ready right on time and the employee was pretty nice. I got home and to my -2 star disappointment, the terribly folded burrito was missing the carne asada. : After a super long day I have no desire to go all the way back to get it remedied so unfortunately I paid 15 dollars for a square of tortilla with some beans and rice. Poorly folded burritos at places that sell mainly burritos also confuses me. Why would none of the employees either know how to fold a burrito or stop an atrocious burrito from going out. I took another star off for terrible burrito folding ruins burrito eating experience and its a pretty easy thing to learn especially if it’s youre paid to fold burritos and the burrito was half empty to begin with. The food was okay flavorwise but I don’t know if would ever pay for it again. Taco Bell’s across the street for half the price, better folded burritos somehow, and I’ve gotten food with only occasional minor mistakes nothing like missing the entire protein choice in a burrito. If the employees ever read these reviews, I hope you make fun of whoever sucks at folding burritos and tell them they fold burritos like a preschooler trying to make a paper airplane. Don’t be too mean about it but make sure they know that they might be better off at a McDonald’s or something where they don’t need folding skills. I don’t usually write reviews either but it was just that disappointing of a burrito I hope no one else has to witness it again.
Super surly staff, like all of them that I interfaced with. 3. One to initiate order, the other to do veggies and the checkout person. It was really unusual. The person thar brought us there, and loves it.. mentioned this location has bad staff. But the others in the Sound area have been good. I thought the food was mediocre. The enchilada sauce had too much thickener, which was more gloppy than sauce. The drink area was pretty dirty and sticky. However the strawberry lemonade was top notch. All of this goes to a mid level review.
This morning I ordered online at 9:30. Ordered confirmation that it will be ready at 10:30. I get there and walk up to pick up counter and nobodyall 5 staff members acknowledged that I walked in or was waiting. They didn’t even smile or say be right with you, there was 1 gal helping 3 men with and order and the others with doing things. After she cashed them out she still didn’t say anything to me or look at me. I noticed that there was another gal starting an order that looked to be mine. Still nobody said anything to me. They completed the order and first gal comes to counter, doesn’t look at me and says my name. The time is now 10:50, not the 10:30 my confirmation said. I told her that I would be nice to be if anyone in her would have come up to the counter to ask what I was picking up and were behind, something. Needless to say she took attitude with me when I told her she should say something when someone is standing there and that it’s now 15 minutes past pick up time. She says we just opened. I told her that I was going to write a review and she says go ahead, WE WILL have a nice day around HERE. I think you need to address this problem with customer service. What should have been a quick pick for lunch turned into something else.
The food tastes like it was made by 10 yr olds with a microwave. Barely any "fire-grilled" chicken in the quesadilla. We ordered 2 horchatas, and both were full of uncooked rice. The best thing was the "famous" tres leches because its sad appearance made me laugh. Overall, the food is about half as good as Taco Bell.
Good option if you are looking for something similar to chipotle but not chipotle. In my experience so far I like it more than chipotle since I can make my own burritos, tacos, salad, etc. It's like 15-20min away from my place but so far it's been worth the trip. The service is fast so once you get in line, you'll get your food in minutes
Cafe Rio is one of our favorite local places to get fresh Mexican food. I love the chicken tostada or salad with the house dressing. The Horchata is a family favorite. Never leave disappointed. Be sure to check out the specials like Taco Tuesday - they are worth it!Food: 5/5
First time in and we will be back. Passed it many times and always see lots of customers. Finally visited. Their big monitor showing from harvest of ingredients to preparation of them, they pay attention to every detail. Setup like Subway you interact with your food artist to customize your meal. Everything was delicious. They have bottles of many hot sauces at their drink and eating utensil table. Their selection of soft drinks is good. They have 4 custom beverages as well as 2 ice tea drinks. I loved the Horchata
Just got off the phone with Cafe Rio after they messed up our dinner web order for the second time in a row. Left out most of the critical ingredients in my entree no meat, no cheese, no pico de gallo - they gave plenty of watery looking lettuce and beans, but nothing else the entree listed. Of course, you dont find that out until the food arrives. The manager literally said on the phone that "they dont care". If they dont cant make food right, and dont care, then they must not want business. They used to be nice and make good food. We have bought thousands of $ of personal food and event catering from them over the years but I will not give them another dime after this experience.
