This was the worst place to go for breakfast. The waitress was slow never asked if you want more coffee or tea. Took an order from people who came in after we did because she knew them. We waited over an hour for breakfast. Scraped up hash browns because they did not have anymore. Should of given some home fries to compensate although the home fries were cold and terrible. Never will go back there. Don’t waste your money.
Portions are small and any time you order anything different they charge for a separate item. I have only tried breakfast here. You walked out wondering how in the world you spent $25 on a breakfast for two and you're barely satisfied. Coffee is horrible. I once ordered the fruit bowl four $5.95 and got a small bowl of bad cantaloupe. I'll tell you though there are regulars who go back again and again. I only go when I do because it's close and a meeting place for several other people who actually do like it. I have given it at least a dozen tries over the past 4 years and have never had a breakfast that I thought was good.
This was our 2nd visit. First time was okay. This time the wait for our order was extremely long. The young server apologized and said there was a new chef. When our orders finally arrived my eggs Benedict looked pathetic. Over cooked eggs, miniscule meat, small English muffin covered by tasteless hollandaise sauce. We were pressed for time or I would have sent it back. Even the hash browns were just lukewarm. To be fair, my wife's order was much better and I wound up eating half of hers. There are many choices for breakfast places in this area. Needless to say, this one is off the list.
Apparently new owners, really mediocre food. Hash browns were cold and soggy, pancake was under done. How hard is it to make hash browns really? Service were good. Folgers coffee was good but uninspired selection.
The new owners bring an EXCELLENT menu with very generous portions. Flawless execution of flavor and presentation, even with our special requests. Great and quite personable service, too! Looking forward to going back !
Cafe Roosevelt is a great place to have breakfast. We meet friends there twice a week. It's cozy, friendly and owners upbeat. Cooks however you want it.
We waited over 30 minutes for our overpriced breakfast and watered down 2.50 reused coffee. It tasted like water. $30 for toast and eggs. I will not be going back.
The hash browns were perfectly crispy and not burnt. There pancakes are huge and fluffy so delicious.
Sat down had horrible service and seating the coffee tasted like burnt maxwell house and I never got my food as 60% of the restaurant was waiting for theirs and just put for my drinks and walked out...I've never been so disappointed with a restaurant... Service was the worst I've ever had
Laid back small convenient very friendly couple that Run this Cafe very good food my husband and I look forward to going over the weekends
