I’ve been here a few times and each time the owner is always very friendly. One time she accidentally made my drink with regular milk not non-dairy and she was so apologetic and immediately made me a new one. The place is always clean and the coffee is good! I’ve had their peppermint mocha, iced coffee, and a latte. There are no outside beverages allowed which seems to be why some folks gave a bad review? ‍
This is the first time I write a bad review, and it’s because the customer service in this place deserves it. We were 3 adults , an older kid and a 4 year old kid. Our younger kid had a boba tea in her hand from another place, because of this the lady that was attending us told us that we can’t be there because it was “promoting other places”, even when we told them it was just our kid who had a drink, and all 4 of us were going to order at the bakery, she said we can buy our food there but we need to leave somewhere else. This incident left us feeling unwelcome and disappointed with the customer service provided. We hope that Sofia Bakery can address this issue and ensure a more inclusive and accommodating environment for all customers.
I went one time because I was looking for a place to go to do homework, and my friend and I were treated terribly. The coffee wasn’t that good. It got pretty late when I ordered a crepe but I hadn’t realized the time and she still served me. Eventually most people left and we were the last ones there. Owner walked past us saying something that neither of us understood so we went on trying to finish the food. Some other people had come in to talk to her and they all grouped up and began yelling at us from the counter saying we had to leave. We realized that it was time for closing but weren’t sure what to do about the crepe. I felt offended that they didn’t approach us in a better way and that we had to leave behind food that I spent my money on.
Owner Albanian lady is very rude everytime I come. I asked for my food to go and she rudely was adamant I have to leave if I have it to go. The other two times she was also rude and very disrespectful. She also prioritized other customers’ orders white/European over me and my partner people of color even though we came first. Honestly the food isn’t that good drinks are bad and baklava is dry for the service OR the price. Never coming back. Is there another crepe place I can go nearby?
Very dark, tiny coffee shop on the main street. Smells a bit stale as well. Seating outside with mosaic tables is nice, but it's outside on the main street, lots of noise and cars zooming by. We passed by.Food: 3/5
This is my first time writing reviews. There’s this short hair blond white lady that has an accent idk if she’s the worker or the owner, I have never encountered anyone that rude. This is NOT how you manage a business. Not surprised so many people feel the same. not gonna come here again and if you don’t wanna face any sort of attitude don’t come her it will ruin your day
The coffee is good, but the Crepes and the Belgian waffles are incredible. The strawberry and banana topped Belgian waffle is second to none here. You can also find some less common bakery items in the cases. This our favorite place to go for breakfast. They also have ice cream and smoothies, which my kids love to have on a warm spring or summer evening. If you're lucky, you might get one of the seats out front and can watch all of West Hartford go by. Seating may be limited on a busy morning or evening, but it's worth it to stop in and get something here.
Ordered 2 coffees and both were horrible. Even a simple flavor like salted caramel was atrocious. Worst coffees I’ve had. Owner was rude with an attitude and very unfriendly.Food: 1/5
The weirdest encounter ever! I walk in to buy a coffee to go, I had stopped at another store with tea in my hand… the owner this lady from Albania asks me to wait outside because I can’t bring outside beverages???? Like you want me to leave my tea outside. Never coming back here, worst customer service ever
I was surprise, A lot of rude reviews, coming here 6 years never have problems. Great place, and write about people Albanian owner it’s not nice plus they not Albanian, they are Armenian. Love this place.Food: 5/5
