One of the best seafood restaurants I have been to in Texas. Definitely on my top 3 list. I’ve never had blackened catfish taste so good. The gulf shrimp tasted like lobster. Food taste almost impeccable. Fast service. Outer waiter was so invisible after food came but other people jumped in. A must visit if you come to Galveston and love flavorful fresh spicy seafood. Parking: Only like 12 spots.
I don't normally leave reviews but this place was fantastic. My sister and I are vacationing in Galveston this is our first night here and I was so happy to get such an amazing meal. I started with a mango martini which was flavorful and just strong enough. For dinner, I got the red snapper with cajun sauce and it was to die for. My sister got the grilled salmon. Everything came out hot and prompt and you could taste the freshness. Our waiter was very hospitable and pleasant I wish I had caught his name. I brought home dessert, Key Lime pie, and it was a perfect combo of tart and creamy. Definitely a great way to spend our first night in Texas
UPDATE: I had the cup of gumbo my first time & I was impressed by the near spiciness. This time, I got a bowl of seafood Gumbo & I was very disappointed. The roux is creamy but not as spicy as I remember. There's ONLY shrimp as "seafood". There's NO okra and, so it's not "gumbo"! Lots of rice and shreds of red beans... No longer a fav. Very decent hush puppies. One of the best gumbos in Galveston! Excellent vegetable medley. Blackened snapper was just OK...
this is my first time coming here and i was surprised at the quality. I read the review and give it a try. You must try the blue crab soup as the crab is very fresh, the soup is not salty and no msg and i’m happy with it as when i came home i’m not thirsty. the crab cake is full of fresh crab meat, you must try. definitely come back and refer more friends
The best place to eat fresh caught delights in Galveston!! The ultimate salmon Mac and cheese is spectacular. Everything is worth it's money.. and if you don't have much to spend the salads are great options and they're beautifully made!!Food: 5/5
When we arrived there was a wait out the door. They were still able to sit us quickly and the service was on point. Our apps and food came quickly and was great. Never had to wait for anything as our waiter was always checking on us. Great food and serviceFood: 5/5
This place is more GREEK than CAJUN, my family and I were in the area looking for some good food. We came across this place and well from the reviews we decided to give it a try.... I wanted seafood I wanted to try the crawfish but they didn't have them... It's June so I understood, so instead I was told by the waitress that the shrimp were good and was a good alternative to the crawfish, so I ordered it.... She said I would get alot with the order with heads on so that's what I ordered.... I ordered it SPICY and with the "sauce", with a side of hush puppies...YALLLLL when I tell you I was SO DISAPPOINTED I mean NO FLAVOR what's so ever.... me and my husband had to doctor "the sauce" up with salt and pepper to make it taste like something and the hush puppies tasted like batter no seasoning at all. Not to mention we spent over $100 at this spot... It wasn't worth it... Even the margaritas we ordered were watered down, we sent those back. I wanted to try somewhere new that's what I get. I was expecting Greek but with flavor... If you want Greek with no flavor and okay food then this is your spot. I gave 3 stars because the wait staff were nice.
We had to wait 30 minutes to be seated so I figured the food must be good. Very lively environment. Our server was good she attended to us well. The food was perfect. Everything down to the hush puppies. Great place to be.Food: 5/5
Perfection! I got the classic gyro and it was loaded with lamb. I also got a mango martini and it was delicious. Everything was divine, can’t wait to come back!Food: 5/5
This is our favorite spot on galveston island and our ritual is to stop by here on our way back to houston whenever we visit the island. Their crawfish and blue crabs are amazing but so is their entire menu. The service is awesome as always. And what I love is just the chill nature of the place. Parking is a pain tho. There are about 7 or 8 spots in the front and a small parking lot in the back. I've only ever had to wait for a table once, during crawfish season and on a Saturday, otherwise we get seated right away. We actually got different items this time and was not disappointed. Actually, we always get the fried pickles and fried mushrooms when we come here. The pickles are thinly sliced and the mushrooms are huge and the batter is never too thick. Seriously the best fried mushrooms. I cant rave enough about the food. Everything is well seasoned, really fresh ingredients, cooked perfectly. Tonight's dinner were seafood platter, Boudin po'boy, oyster po'boy, and seafood gumbo. Oh and the fries are crack! I don't know what they do to them but they are the best fries. The restaurant isn't located on the sea wall and most people wouldn't see it driving by but man oh man, once you try it, it will become your favorite too.
