First time eating at the Forest... The food was great same with our waiter. At first when we got there we had to get a waiter attention just to get our drink order in. But when we did he did a fantastic job. He even wanted to see the cook on my steak. Which I've never had a waiter asked me to cut my steak to see the cook on it Which was perfect.
Food was great. Kids meals were served great portions and options. Fish tacos built great, tortilla tasted fresh handmade, the fish was cooked really well. Steak fajitas very good. Korean Spicy stir fry sooo good but definitely spicy. Soooo good. Service couple small issues no big deal. Crowded but seated within 5 minutes of our reservation time.
Such a fun place for families! The food is great and the atmosphere is so fun! The aquariums are really well done and scattered throughout the restaurant. I had the Coconut Shrimp basket, which was good as always. The kids has pasta with marinara and fresh fruit the fruit was huge chunks of fresh watermelon and both were a big hit! My hubby had the Lava nachos appetizer as a meal and it was HUGE. The waiter was super nice and good with kids. The only weird/bad thing was, they had face-painters and balloon artists wandering around the dining room working for tips… that was unneeded and kind of disruptive. The ride is cute and VERY well maintained but a little pricy - skip it if you don’t have kids that are elementary age or younger. Overall it’s a great experience and we will be back!
Came here on vacation and was not disappointed! I recommend that you make a reservation because the wait times can get pretty long. We made a reservation and were seated not long after our scheduled time. Food was delicious, hot, and decent price. The smoothie was delicious and so refreshing after a hot day. Service was quick and our server was nice! Love this location because of the water ride, and the gift shop is a good size with plenty to look at. If you want a fun and different experience, this is the place to come to! My friend and I had a great time and will come back again the next time we are in Galveston.
Your kids will certainly enjoy this place, but anything other than a kid's meal will cost you $20+. Some might not mind the price, but I can easily get better food for much less. To each their own, but I won't be returning ever.Food: 3/5
This was a wonderful experience! We took 15 year olds and a 8 year old. The ride and food was impressive to everyone. Our waitress was fantastic! This was reasonable and we were there for hours looking around and enjoying our night!Food: 5/5
Super fun restaurant! The food was pretty good, and the kids had a blast! I STRONGLY encourage reservations, but if you don’t have one they had a magic show and DJ out front to help pass the wait time.Food: 5/5
Great family atmosphere also great food . Service, they were always checking on us to make sure if we needed anything else. I would recommend this place to goFood: 5/5
Not my favorite Rainforest Cafe that I've been too. The multiple hosts didn't act like they wanted to work there. The meal was forgotten about. We were being offered dessert while eating our Appetizer. Dinner was left waiting. The Rainforest in Orlando and in Michigan was a well oiled machine compared to here.
This Rain Forest Cafe is just like all the others. It's in a decent location near the seawall and between some nice hotel/resorts. A bit pricey, but an established bar/restaurant with some pulse. It would be cool if Galveston could be a bit nicer, but I guess extreme weather and hurricanes are hard to keep up with. It will be some time before Galveston to Biloxi areas are where they should/could be. Damn hurricanes!
