We recently had our daughters birthday party catered by Calabria Bakery and the food was amazing. We ordered both the chicken and veal cutlets for our guests along with Lasagna, roasted potatoes and grilled vegetables. We had many compliments on the food and would definitely order from there again.
Love this place and their almond filled croissants when they have them; call and reserve early. Omg so good!! I love stopping by after grocery shopping and sitting on the patio in the nice weather with a nice cup of coffee and pastry. You can also eat inside. The lasagna is amazing! Fresh bread. Be sure to stop by. I’m going to miss this place when I move.
This is really a tough one for me. I used to frequent their other location a few years back and was absolutely obsessed with the lasagna and of course it didn’t disappoint but I wanted to try something else on the menu as well to give a proper review and in retrospect I definitely should have ordered more. I’ll start with the good; evidently the lasagna is what I came for and did not dissapoint, it’s just as good as I remember it. Moving on to the cons, I must say I was rather dissatisfied with the pizza, it was very doughy however the dough was really good so they earned some bonus points there. Where they lost me is the lack of tomato sauce. Now, this could be personal preference so I didn’t let it reflect the rating too much but I feel as though they could have been more generous with the amount of tomato sauce used. As far as the service goes, I had read some reviews stating that the staff weren’t too friendly and I can honestly say those reviews were wrong. The staff were kind and friendly. To wrap it up, I would definitely come back for the lasagne, I would likely stay away from the pizza but I’d definitely want to try some of the other food they offer. I liked that the overall feel of the place was that it’s a small family run business.
Great food and wonderful people, cooking up a storm of tasty food. I ordered Chicken & Veal schnitzels for a party, everyone love the food. Yolanda and her team are amazing.
With inflation one would expect prices to increase without sacrificing the portion of food but Calabria has ridiculously reduced the portion of a Large pasta to half not even filled to the top of the container and increased the price! What used to be able to feed 2 people now only feed one! 1 “large” pasta and 2 pieces of Parmesan chicken for $24.85!
Where the locals go to chit-chat and enjoy a proper cup of coffee, tasty treats, and buy some baked goods. Edit: where has the last 3 years gone! Still authentic and delicious.
It has been disappointing lately, as the portions they serve are getting smaller and smaller. Their variety is shrinking too. We have been a regular of this place for many years, and we kept trying to give it more chances.
This will probably be the first and last time coming to Calabria Bakery. Service is unbelievably slow even when it's not busy. Pastry is horrible especially the "custard tart". It was not pleasant at all. It was like biting into a hard boiled egg yolk. I haven't tried their hot foods but seeing how long it takes them to prep a sandwich, i don't think I would want to try it. There are way better restaurants around the area.
I was excited to try the sfogliatele, but unfortunately the shell was hard and chewy, very disappointing. The long John wasn't much better, the dough part seemed underbaked. Definitely not worth the calories.
Great café! Full of treats that are freshly baked! Will definitely be trying some of the hot foods next time. We got a maple glazed donut, an eclair, and a cherry+ricotta cannoli. Paired perfectly with a cappuccino or a latte! They were so substantial and full of flavor! Absolutely recommend!
