So this is open to public and free if you have a parking permit for the campus if not the parking is $6 a day
I love this library. This is my favorite library in Bakersfield. I really appreciate how they've switched to reservations for the small study rooms. I have two online classes this semester and I always know I'll have a quiet, comfortable place to log in at.
Last year is was great, but now with the abundance of students, there seems to not be enough space and room to fit everyone that wants to study, there have been times where there is no place to sit at times. But overall if you do manage to find a spot to sit it is a great place to study or read or just go do your homework. Honestly prefer it over going home.
I work in this library every day, doing homework and studying. It's quiet, had plenty of electrical plugs to accommodate all your devices. WiFi is for students and staff. The few times it gets a bit noisy, headphones are handed out at the front desk.
Offers no guest wifi login without paying for the privilege and it takes three days to process. If you don't want outsiders to do anything on your campus, just write it on the door.
The librarians are very helpful, the fourth floor is a great quiet place to study or catch a nap, and there are plenty of computers available.
What's the point of having the fourth floor being a floor to "preserve the silence" when tons of people continue to talk and talk on the top floor? Gosh our students are stupid tbh
Noisiest library ever. And summer hours very inconvenient for students who work in the day and need to do homeeork in the evening.
So glad we can go without appointments now. We missed this place. Only open on Tuesday and Mondays from 12-6 but that's ok.
Peaceful place to feed your brain
