Camellia's Tea Room

My mom, sister and I come here every year around Christmas time! It’s our little girls day to enjoy each others company and catch up on life. The ladies that work here make the experience unforgettable. The tea and food is SO good!! They have a variety of different rooms you get to choose from. They are private rooms and each one has his own unique setup. My mom and sister are vegetarians so they make accommodations to your dietary needs. It is a perfect way to spend meaningful time with your your girls, a reason to put on a cute outfit, take some pics and create memories. I’m already looking forward to next year!

We had the most magical tea party here for my daughter's birthday. The entire experience from setting the menu and color scheme to dressing up and being served like royals was perfection. The owner and staff members were so kind and thoughtful to all details and guests, no matter how small. Every moment was precious and I am forever grateful.

The food is amazing! The staff are superb! It is an experience you must do. I'm a big boy and I couldn't believe how full I was from having an "afternoon tea". Set in what used to be an antique store, the decor is phenomenal! As of now, reservations are required, but I think pretty soon you will be able to come in off the street and enjoy this amazing gem in Valrico. Parking: There is a large lot between 22 Moons and Sod-X. You must enter by Sod-X though.

We highly recommend this fine establishment for scrumptious food and teas. I took my son, daughter-in-law, 10 year old mature granddaughter and 6 year old grandson, who have experienced high teas in downtown Chicago. We were salivating at my grandson’s “children’s” entree which was served right after pouring our tea selections. This was very smart because it wowed us and kept him occupied the whole time our courses were served. The adult entrees were fabulous, and all homemade. The children loved the strawberry tea with honey. Each course was described by our hostess prior to its presentation. It made us feel special and fancy. Make a reservation, and see for yourself. If you don’t think you’re a tea-drinker, you haven’t had this type of experience. The decor is fascinating—floor to ceiling antiques. They have a zero proof bar room that is becoming very popular. My family is visiting in July, and at my granddaughter’s request, we will again go to 22 Moons Tea Room. Dietary restrictions: They accommodate dietary restrictions. Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome. If you have a private room, I would take a baby or toddler who can be contained in a carrier or high chair. A bull in a china shop? Maybe Daddy could take the child for a walk outside in the large gardens.

Price was $35 plus tax and tip was $45. Pretty high price for tiny tea sandwiches, some on a single cracker. Prefer other tea rooms like the Whistle Stop Garden Tea Room in Lutz.Food: 3/5

It was absolutely beautiful! Debbie the owner and staff were so friendly and so welcoming. It felt like we were back in time. Everything on display can be purchase. OMG! The food and tea was delicious! We are definitely returning again. If I can give them 100 starts I would’ve.

Went here a while back and it was an OK experience, food was decent, and we enjoyed ourselves.. fast forward to this year/ the day before Mother’s Day and things seem to have dramatically changed for the worst. Staff was not very attentive or helpful. When we asked for things like sugar they would say they get it and never returned. Everything from the kids plate, and even the most of the food for the adults all came from the publix bakery and everything seemed to be prepackaged or already made that they put together. Nothing seemed “made fresh” there. Seems like they put no effort into anything like customer service/ food or the overall experience. After we got our food, nobody returned, and even after we were done eating, nobody came to check on us, and since we had already paid beforehand we ended up just getting up and leaving since nobody was around. We left feeling very unsatisfied and all agreed that we would most likely never return. I don’t know if was an off day or what but for the price we paid it was all very disappointing. 1/10 do not recommend EDIT: Since owner responded that the food is all fresh and proprietary I would like to add that the kids plate contained the following: PBJ, grilled cheese, 1 singular entenmanns mini muffin, 1 sprinkle sugar cookie you get for free at Publix, and 1 small brownie bite from the publix bakery and a small bowl of yogurt, probably yoplait with some whipped cream on top. I love this shop!!!! The tea service was amazing and I am going back in a few weeks I'll take some pictures. I like their selection as well, many interesting pieces. Update...here are some pictures of the tea service. Again this place is just amazing!

Like stepping back in time a hundred years - and I mean that in a good way. Excellent food and terrific service in a truly relaxing atmosphere.
