The absolute worst. Cannot ever get anyone to call you back, it takes days and sometimes weeks to get maint. to fix tubs/toilettes and they refuse to fix "bubbling floor planks", which were a tripping hazard. I cosign for my son to live there, and when he went into pay the outrageous move out fees that they sent us months after we moved out, they were absolutely rude to him because of this review. I find that super unprofessional, and if you don’t like my review, maybe you should not have the issues listed above. I want to also add that we had a professional cleaner come in and clean the apartment that my son actually only stayed in for two months of the entire year due to the issues and they still charged a couple hundred dollars for the “cleaning” that they had to do. Of course we paid it because we are responsible but if this company wanted to do their part, they were definitely up their game. This is a very bad place to live and I wouldn’t recommend it to anybody.
Check your unit for black mold. And at the front office offers you ozone treatment look into it yourself as it does not actually kill all mold. They will require you to be displaced for treatment and it won't actually kill everything. I had a mold infestation in the HVAC area. They are not taking my concerns seriously so I'm posting this in hopes I can save someone else the trouble
Check your unit for black mold because maintenance will not do it even per request. I asked several times and they never looked into the issue despite there being a known water leak from the above unit that was improperly handled when it soaked through the drywall in the bathroom wall and wall that connected to the HVAC area. The leak was never dried properly they told me to run a box fan for a few days and that was it and then they came and did a subpar job to "repair" the ceiling which they slapped drywall mud on which later fell on my son's bath toys because it was also not done properly. When I expressed concerns about mold I was told my only option was an ozone treatment which does not actually fully kill mold and especially not an infestation that severe which would have displaced me from my apartment unit. Never was there an offer to replace the drywall as should have been done. I did not find the extent of the mold until I was doing my final walk through as I was leaving and I could not be more upset that they were so negligent. No one validated my concerns or took it seriously whatsoever. I hate to resort to bad reviews but I think people need to know before they get into a place like this. They will fight you tooth and nail to avoid any accountability for what they do wrong.
I lived in two different units here over the course of 5 years. Our first unit had some plumbing issues but thankfully we were able to move to another unit in the complex. The girls in the office were always so nice to me and always wanting to help out and the maintenance men were awesome. Anytime something messed up I could always count on them to come fix it. The property was always well kept and I never had any problems with neighbors. Anytime someone was looking for a place to rent I always recommended Cameron Park.
Absolutely not worth living here!!!!!! There were so many problems with my unit and only 1 of them got fixed. I did not feel safe in the unit, or the area for that matter. The unit had multiple issues with regards to the electrical work and outlets not working properly. Also, the oven was directly against the wall which was a huge fire hazard. There was also MINIMAL lighting in the apartment. No light fixtures in the bedrooms either. The weekend after I moved in, there was a domestic violence incident on the premises and I found out FROM THE NEWS. The management doesn't communicate with residents about problems. I tried getting 2 different people to take over my lease because I did not feel safe and the "management" denied both of them. Also, coin operated laundry? Why not have a hookup in the units? Also, apparently the plumbing system went out which caused the whole building to smell like, well...yeah. Do not rent from this company. It is not worth your money.
The worst place ever… theres just so much i want to share but i will be an essay to write about so all im going to say is that DO NOT go there, and if u live there… RUN!
Very disappointed, yet more than likely blessed... I never lived in Cameron Park but was interested and did submit an application. I had about 5 correspondences with the employee who took my call. Within those correspondences, I was given the application and told the process can take as little as one day for approval. After hearing the encouraging news I assured and informed that I was able to put down the deposit to secure an apartment. No reference to the deposit on their end, but I was then asked via email which apartment I would prefer with regards to their availability dates. I answered the one with the earlier vacancy date, and reiterated once more my willingness to put down a deposit. After two days, I took the initiative to email and check the status of the apartment I applied for again reminding them I would put down the deposit. No reply to the email. I called the following day only to be told that someone had just come in and put down a deposit, although she was going to let them know if she could get a cosigner. I then proceeded to, once again, express my intent to put down the deposit in order to lock in an apartment. It was left at, 'I will let you know if she is able to get a cosigner.' Never did hear an update. I highly recommend going through Home Sweet Home rentals. I filled out an application online, was contacted the following day by a very helpful representative who then allowed me to put down a deposit and hold an apartment until my arrival. Best of luck if you choose Cameron Park, you'll more than likely need it
In all honesty this place is really amazing. I've been living here for almost 2 years. I don't hear oitsode noises frequently and they always keep the place in contact. They could do a bit of a better job with making sure everything is safe. About 5 months ago, when I was going down to do laundry, there was water everywhere around the floor almost flooding the place. I looked behind the washers and dryers and the water was maybe an inch away. That's the only problem I have experienced. But other than that, the place is amazing!
First I want to say that I haven't rented here but I was thinking about it because the outside looks well kept and I saw they had 3 bedrooms. Unfortunately, after looking at the pictures I'm a bit weirded out for lack of a better word. I noticed that there are very few actual lights in the apartment. The kitchen/dining/living area seems to share 1 fixture. The hallway and bathrooms have one thank God, the walk in closet looks like it has one. But the bedrooms and living room does not. That seems very odd. Good for people with light sensitivity I guess. Also the smoke detectors look very old, but I'm glad they have them. If they work. Last but definitely not least, the apartment in the pictures and virtual tours looks like the carpets have a few little stains and the they need to paint and repair their patch jobs on the walls. As well as the crack along the ceiling. Knowing that businesses usually put their best pictures out when they advertise, thos makes me think the other apartments are the same if not worse. I just want everyone to pay close attention when viewing their apartments and if you decide to move in please make sure the stains and cracks ect. are listed on your move in form. And take pictures of how you receive your unit as well as how you leave it, so you'll be protected in case they blame you.
I have lived at this apartment complex for the past 2 years and I have nothing bad to say about it. The office associates are extremely nice and understanding. Whenever there is a maintenance problem, they are fast to get the problem fixed as soon as possible. The staff are very professional and great at what they do. There is a lovely courtyard, with a swimming pool and picnic area to cook food outdoors in the summer time.
