It was a very pleasant afternoon strolling through the gardens and the very impressive artwork in the museum. It is a great opportunity for pictures and enjoying a beautiful sunny day. The nooks with secluded spots set off by artful statues and plant arrangements were a treat.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
Highly recommend!! The permanent exhibit of Joe Downing’s is compelling— I could spend a long time looking at his colors and textures. There is also a rotating exhibit of visiting artists’ work. The grounds are beautiful, lush, and varied. **Donations are recommended but not required.
Fantastic museum that shows a verity of artists and has events. Also has a great collection. Definitely check it out! These are pictures from my solo show.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
Very lovely! Was not expecting such an expansive walking experience. You could really choose between having a really easy, flower smelling walk to even taking a bike down and covering grounds all around the land they have/share! Can't wait to go back, great decompressing spot! P.s. did not check out the museum, but would love to!
It's an adventure to walk through here. As you turn corners you will see a clever variety of plants, trees, flowers, and architecture. The entire composition creates a discoverable theme of nature and quietness. It's so much fun to round a path and find a statue or a bench, or even a whole building that you couldn't see till then. Can't wait to come back. This place is definitely on the fast track to being a destination location.
Small but packed with fabulous! Nice little museum with very interesting exhibits and the grounds are amazing! The staff was so friendly and welcoming. If you’re in the area it’s a must see. Art and Nature at it’s finest.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitPrice for adult entryFree
Quaint and elegant museum. Could sit and view the art all day. Joe’s doors set the natural beauty encased by the surrounding wooded property
love the scenery ! & the aesthetic of the place especially during fall : & how the colors of the leaves change
Quiet, beautiful place. The museum is artfully arranged, and we enjoyed both the permanent and non permanent collections, especially the "we're all connected" exhibit. The arboretum is a lovely space, with the specimen plants well-labeled, exquisite stonework, convenient and clean restrooms, and harmonious outdoor sculptures. There are also many benches outside for people to rest and contemplate the natural beauty; I imagine this is a sanctuary of cool shade in hot summer weather. Restrooms: Clean, well-appointed.
