Son had a great week at Camp CAMP. This was his first year and he is excited to go back next year. They had a wide variety of activities and the counselors were very involved with the kids. Campers are sent home with a journal detailing the activities for each day.
Incredible camp experiences for my children as counselors. Lodging is air conditioned and bring a mattress pad. They have horses and many other types of animals for the campers, pottery and kiln, arts and crafts, archery and so many trails!
My son Conrad loved camp, I was scared to drop him off at first but I'm glad I did. The staff and volunteers were awesome
Check in day for weekend respite camp. The girls love coming here and all the staff and volunteers seem excited to see them. Everything is always well organized.
Best place to spend over night and be a volunteer counselor and spend time with kids with special needs
Great place! Wish everyone who has a special needs child gets the chance to spend some time here!
Cannot say enough about the truly life changing experience my son Maverick had at Camp CAMP! His counselors Julianna, Austin, and Daria made his experience more than memorable. For him, it was life changing! He got to do and see things in a safe environment that he has never experienced before. He was able to be around other kids like him and feel absolute unconditional love from everyone he encountered. I am so grateful for this truly transformative place. It’s more than a camp. It’s straight from God and we are so very thankful. They attend to every single nuance and offer sliding scale fees and have very comfy accommodations and an incredible attention to detail that makes you truly feel secure with your kiddo away! What a caring and magical place. I have multiple graduate degrees in Psychology and Education so I say this not only as a parent who just picked up a very happy kiddo but as a clinician and educator as well - there is no other place like Camp CAMP! His wonderful counselor even Air Dropped us pics and vids and kept an amazing journal so we could share his experiences with him. His only question today was, “How do we invent a time travel machine so I can go back and do it again?” After watching me handle chemo this last year; he’s had a rough go of things. Camp CAMP turned around our entire outlook and gave us a new hope for a bright future! Here’s a pic from his time camping - what he called, “the happiest days of my whole life!”
Great place! Our son Garrett loves it here and we feel safe leaving him here! Our son has been here for a few summer camps and a respite weekend. The staff members and volunteers are always friendly, helpful, and caring to these special needs kids and adults. Thanks for creating a safe and fun place for our kids!
Honest review as a volunteer: severely disliked it. It’s not that I hate helping the disabled, but I do not like how the camp is run. Nothing done wrong by camp camp, just not my preference. I completely support their cause and understand that the campers would definitely prefer the current camp camp environment over an environment I am more comfortable in. Staff are cool.
Was a co-founder so I am exceptionally biased. If you have a child with special medical needs, this camp is the best in the country and that's not just my bias showing through. This is a verifiable fact. So, check us out!
