Kids liked this place and facilities are good. The staff was very courteous and helping. We had Halloween camp here and kids enjoyed to the fullest. Rock climbing, haunted house and archery were their favorite. Food was good with special and vegetarian options.
Camp Edward is one of the only camps built specifically for Cub Scouts and programs specifically for Cub Scouts. Took my two Scouts and their Pack there over the course of 9 years and one of the reasons they love Scouts BSA so much was the foundation laid at Camp Edward & the wonderful staff who’s esprit de Corp made the experience for new Scouts & new Scout parents so special. And easy on old ones.
The road between Pigot and Edward is private, with no through admittance. You are so close you can almost see Edward, but instead you have to drive 5 miles around to the other side, yet google maps never fails to direct campers to get to Edward via Pigot year after year. At first, this was google's fault, and man google really messed this up, but after a dozen years and no apparent effort to correct this problem, it's not just google's fault anymore. If you travel here, do everyone a favor and make sure to rate your route poorly so google gets some feedback on it. Edward / Pigot Staff should have contacted google themselves about this, but don't hold your breath.
I love it here, there's hot coffee each morning and hot water and tea bags for those of us who love tea! Camp Edward has Disneyland beat by quite a ways. The staff is very friendly, and is always willing to help or direct you politely to someone who can better assist you with any problems you have. High energy from not only the kids, but the staff as well, and their opening campfire was very funny. I have yet to not have fun here. Thank you, Camp Edward Staff, for giving me a place to call home.
My son didn't want to leave this place the first time he visited as Camp Brinkley. Surprisingly, the camp got much better with the food and bathroom facilities. The staff has been a pleasure to deal with and were very careful and responsible with all the scouts. Thank you for Camp Edwards, we will never forget it.
I just got back from camp edward and it was so fun there are themes and this one is cow boys and next year will be pirate and I can't wait. The swimming was my favorite but it is a little hard because I actually think I liked everything
