I would have given this location a higher rating. The park itself is very nice. Standard FHU and nice spacing. Greenery a bit over grown but it's manageable. However the ODR customer service and weekly moving to a different spot really dampened the experience. For some reason, almost half of the RV campers are required to move weekly. Some people who will stay longer periods of time had to move 4 times. When asked the reason why, all said they didn't know the reason, despite their spot being open for several days afterwards. Most people thought it was a power trip issue bc ODR WOULD NOT provide a reason either. So think twice before committing.
The RV area is laid out around your standard kind of loop. It appears that just about all the spaces are pretty darn level. There's plenty of room at each spot, and it's very well shaded. No worries about being in what resembles an open parking lot at this RV Park. The reservations area has very experienced and very helpful people working at it who work to keep their patients and explain everything in a nice manner. They also will give out brochures etc of the post so that you can find your way around. As for the park itself, it is well shaded and reasonably spacious. We were able to get a space about a 60 second walk away from the hard bathrooms and laundry area. Just about every space that I saw seem to be very level which is very pleasing to see. I'd consider this a great place to stay whether you have only a few days need, or in our case - more than a few days. Two thumbs up.
Sites were spacious and level. Bath house was really nice, single shower rooms with toilet and sink similar to hotel bathroom. Grass did need cutting pretty bad, must be normal as several sites used weed trimmers to clean up the area around their fire pits. You get a nine page rule book about how to keep your site but they don't bother cutting the grass... other than that it is a nice spot to camp if you're in the area.
Quiet Shaded Park, Never seem to cut the grass. No after hours staff. Grass growing in the patio areas. No place to boat or kyack. Not much for children to do at the campground. It's ok.
Super expensive for a disappointing experience. Not sure how anyone is supposed to enjoy camping in knee high grass… the lots can be roomy and it’s fairly quiet but the shower houses and laundry facilities are disgusting. The customer service isn’t very nice and although they tell you they have no availability, it’s not true. For the price you pay you’d think the place would be taken care of and there’d be at least some sort of amenities. Its ideal for people passing through but not if you plan to stay more than 2 days. Chances are they will make you switch spots by then anyways.
Seems to be issue with staff and personnel regarding grass issue. Does anyone ever read these comments? CUT THE GRASS FIR YOUR GUEST!!!! Love this park. Just wish they would cut the grass before guest arrive. It has rained and understand but it’s awful having to deal with weeds on our site. You know what I’m sayin!
We returned in 2022 and this place has went downhill for 2 years straight. Staff ignores service and repair issues, has zero ethics in cleaning the restrooms, and the water quality at the sites is beyond disgusting. Its very sad this once nice gem has became a stain. They have raised prices along with the crappier service. The management blames contracts/contractors for their ineptitude of keeping the facility safe and clean. There are potholes with water access that will damage your rims on your trailer if you hit them. When pointing out issues the staff is indifferent and says, "Yeah, wow that's bad." The list of things is so long I don't even want to bother.
Nice big spots with lots of room. Great prices, grounds could kept up a bit better with mowing and landscaping.
We have camped here for many years and love the campground. This year we arrived to ankle deep grass and dirty patios flat weeds growing across the cement. When I asked when the mowers would be coming, I was told the FamCamp is low priority and if I wanted to borrow a mower and edger, I was welcome. At $55/night I thought I shouldn't have to police the site in order to sit outside and enjoy it. The Stinkbugs and ticks love the love grass also. The rest of the base is well kept and lovely.
This RV park does have some decent amenities if they work. They have a laundry room, but they may work when you try to use them. The landscaping is very poorly maintained, they mow maybe once a month they refuse to remove dead trees that could cause personal property damage. Their rates are constantly changing and is very expensive seeing that it is on a military base and it is run by MWR which receives tons of free money every year.
