This camp is amazing. The staff is so nice and enthusiastic about their jobs, I wish all staff is like they are. They have some many thing to do even when out of merit badges. As a life scout I hope to someday work there to give back the happiness I received when I go to camp.
I went to Camp Minsi with my scout troop every summer, 2007-2013, and have nothing but fond memories. The staff are all very enthusiastic about their jobs, there's a wide variety of fun activities, and even kids from other troops were very nice. The Muck Hike is a classic must-do. It's not quite as remote as other camps, and some nights you can even hear the traffic on 380. Being in the Pennsylvania mountains, the weather can be very unpredictable, but I otherwise have no real complaints.
Went here this past weekend with our troop for the first time and a really nice BSA camp. We were pleased to be able to use the platform tents as they were setup for summer camp. Great time all around. Troop 110 from Lincroft, NJ
Winter camping in their "tabin" shelters was excellent! We chopped our own wood, but there is a great bin of wood for sale next to each shelter if you want to use it. If you are lucky enough to get a cold weekend and the lake is certified frozen it's a real treat for the boys. Nature Lodge for cooking and eating in puts the Scouts out of the weather if needed. Great experience! Troop 1719 Cradle of Liberty
Great food and great waterfront, staff are awesome, but tents leak. Bring tarps!
Huge place with many prepared camping spots for scouts. Nice waterfront. There are lots of activities for kids during the summer camps. There are also some events during other seasons, like Klondike in January.
Camping at Camp Minsi is also a treat! Great food, Staff and Program. Beautiful Lake, Trails and Camping.
Minsi Trails Council is lucky to have both Camp Minsi and Camp Trexler. Camp Minsi is set right around the lake which is great. There are sprawling views from each end of the camp. The swimming is great, the sites are spacious, the activities are well staffed and the camp is kept clean. A great place for youth to gain their skills and perfect crafts with in BSA
I went to Camp Minsi five summers in a row 2013-2017. It’s a fantastic place to spend the week. The counselors are knowledgeable in their respective fields and unbelievably energetic. Camp Minsi would not be what it is without its counselors. The region where the camp is located is beautiful with its lush green forests and mountain ranges. The weather isn’t too hot nor too cold. The food and dining halls are great, too. I would recommend this camp to any scout.
One of the best boys scout camps in the northeast region. My kids having been going to camp minsi for more than a decade now. The camp is very well maintained and they keep bringing new activities each year.
