What a fun place!!! The courses and zip line were great. The staff was so friendly, attentive and helpful. Would definitely recommend!!! They also have mini golf.
With some time to spare before driving home, we decided to spend some time at Gorilla Grove at the Kalahari Resort. Boy, are we glad we did! The staff are super friendly, ropes are safe, and the place was very clean. The belay system worked great and our girls enjoyed the course. It was interesting and challenging enough for them; ages 7 and 9. We finished with the long zip line. I highly recommend trying this course if you have some time and money to burn.
Talk about making memories! We had a GREAT experience here. Staff was wonderful. The guide did explain things kind of fast, but he was great about re-explaining things that we had questions about. Our 10-yr-old boys completed the 3rd level ropes / zipline course. A real confidence builder for them! I'm proud to have completed the beginner course. This was a terrific excursion on our Kalahari vacation.
I am not one to write a google review but this place hands down deserves one. I can not begin to say enough nice things about the staff. They all were so welcoming and helpful and made the experience amazing. Jose demonstrated excellent customer service and went above and beyond to ensure my kids were comfortable on the rope course as well as the zip line. My kids loved spending time with them, that Jose even went down the zip line with them because they felt comfortable with him! Every staff member was professional and so upbeat. We can not wait to return and hope that same staff is there on our next trip. Thanks for the memories!
Very nice mini golf....easily accessible...on the left as soon as you enter Kalahari
Had a group of 10 for zip line. Everything went smooth & they got us all suited up in a flash. Staff was so friendly & put up with our group of crazy, rowdy 50's plus ladies. We had a wonderful time & can't wait to come back.
This review is for the mini golf portion of this location. We did not try to other areas. The course was okay. There is an 18 hole option which is 13.49 and 36 hole which is 15.49. We chose 18 holes. The holes are small and packed in very tightly together. There aren’t a lot of great obstacles. There are a lot of places for the ball to go out of bounds and get lost, which did happen to us. Overall a course better for little kids and try to go at a time isn’t buys as it can get congested.
We had a great memorial day 2021 outing here. We did mini golf in the morning and ziplining in the afternoon. They had a two for one special on the ziplining. It was very cool. We had a blast. I had never ziplined before and after a bit of trepidation stepping off the bottom step, it was a great adventure. We may make this an annual family event.
I was frustrated initially when we drove there and they were closed. But We came back on a Friday and really enjoyed ourselves. It’s a great course! Challenging and fun! I’m changing my rating to 4 starts. Initial post: Website and business voicemail says they are open 7 days a week. We drove all the way here and they are closed. It’s bad business to have inaccurate open hours on website and voicemail
Excellent way to spend and active few outdoor hours swinging amongst the trees. They have treetop courses for everyone from small children though they will quickly be bored to a black diamond that even a gymnast would have difficulty with. Family spent multiple hours here moving up the difficulty scale and wanted to come back again. Only annoyance was the sometimes slower people in front that you need to wait for. They also have an extremely fast zipline which caused the area to be regularly punctuated by screams and mini golf course if you’re not already tired or are afraid of heights. Right next to the Kalahari Resort if you’re staying there, but you can participate even if you’re not.
