A fantastic top quality Scout Reservation. Has shooting ranges, a climbing tower, mess hall, and clean campsites.
Great camping and wonderful place to enjoy. Many years of awesome memories at the campsites here!
I am a current Boy Scout and i have attended this camp for many things even the summer camp, as well as worked here over the summer. This place has a friendly staff as well as good cooks. The cooks are very helpful in making sure everyone's dietary needs are met. There are swimming, shooting, hiking, and climbing programs. As well as boating programs which is done on the Susquehanna River. You are taken by a caravan to the water front 15 minutes away in which they have canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding, and motor boating. The park ranger, Ranger Tom is a very nice man and was a good boss also. It has very tight parking with only being able to take in one car per campsite. The parking is a quarter mile away from the closest campsite. Besides that it is a great and fun place to spend your weekend or week in the summer at.
This is a really big and nice camp. Gotta dock them stars for restrooms, they were small, remote, dark, doors don't seal well, no fixed place for toilet paper. The main restrooms were like a mile away. The cabins are nice but cots old, broken down, squeeky. I would take my own cot next time.
I've been here a few times and I saw another review that hit the nail on the head "It's a scout camp, with woods and outhouses". Broadcreek it's perfect for camping! Those complaining about "the long hike from the parking area" that's because they want to limit our footprint consolidate all the cars and take away the chance of driving where your not supposed to be and less carbon monoxide in the wooded area and around the camp sites. Those complaining about the restrooms, they're better than nothing aren't they. Anyway our pack absolutely loves it there and we always have the best time when we are at Broadcreek.
This is a very nice camp with great staff. The have many programs all year around and they even rent sites to people in the off season.
Scout camp is great.. They have tents on wood platforms for the kids and comfortable cots. Kids enjoy the learning stations and have fun. The food was also pretty good.
This camp is great! They've done a lot to get the place back in shape. I hope they keep up the great work. Every troop in the area should camp here at lease once per year.
Top notch shower house. Endless supply of hot water. Usually. The food is fantastic. In fact, it's the reason I take a week off from work to come to summer camp with the troop
