Absolutely an amazing place for individuals with disabilities. So many things for them to do and the staff are amazing! Quest is an awesome place to work too !
Peter was HAPPY AS A CLAM when we left him at camp for a week today. Smiles from ear to ear. Now we are off to the Bahamas on a carnival cruise for 5 days. Relax and unwind. That's out moto this week.
We have our church encounters here and it's always a blessing. So beautiful and I love to see the animals
Working at Camp Thunderbird has been one of the most amazing experiences of my life. The staff is absolutely incredible, and they are some of the most selfless, understanding, and hardworking people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. With the most amazing problem solving skills, they tackle every issue with ease, and de-escalate incidents like nobody else can. They do an amazing job of encouraging guests to participate and have fun, and their energy is always uplifting. Working here has made me rediscover my love of working with people with disabilities, and has greatly influenced what I want to do as a career now. I cannot thank this camp enough. Year one was absolutely amazing, and I hope to rejoin the staff next summer.
This was a great experience for both our adult Autistic son and ourselves. The staff was fantastic. The care provided and activities were great. We were concerned about how our son would adjust to a new environment and the first time being away from home but it went extremely well. We checked on his progress nightly at a per-arranged time the first few nights which was more for our piece of mind. We are now on our 3rd year of sending him and will continue. I can't say enough about the directors and staff. I thank them all for the
I used to live here when i was a kid till 2003. It used to be an all boys home. Does anyone else remember this or lived here too? I was there cause my dad didnt want me after my mom tried to kill me. But it was the best time of my life. Im 30 now and i think about those years everyday. I wish i knew at least one other person who remembers this being a foster home type camp.
Disheartened to find out Camp Thunderbird is no longer offering a "teenager" overnight week during the summer. My son attended 3 summers and absolutely loved it. Very disappointed.
After working at Quest Camp Thunderbird for the past two summers I have seen the camp drastically deteriorate. To a point where simply, I would not recommend the camp for both future guests and employees. I am hopeful for a turn around.
Great group of young men and women. Manny had a great time and is already talking about next years camp. Thank you all from the Menegat s .
