Such a beautiful farm and museum! Staff are all very friendly and answer all your questions. Pretty clean too considering it's a working farm. We had a great time visiting and meeting some animals, and can't wait to come back. We spent a couple hours here but if it wasn't as hot as it was we would have spent the day. Lots to do and learn about!
This place was amazing!! A big huge government farm! Needless to say the animals are so well cared for and we can get super close to them! You can tell they are loved because they all wanted so much attention! I had the best time with my toddler visiting the place.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
I have been visiting the Agriculture museum for years now with my 3 nephews, the most recently being Canada Day when admission is free! There are some really informative exhibits, especially the canola one, but you just can’t beat seeing all the animals up close, and even getting to pet some. The dairy barn is my favourite for sure! Specifically on canada day, they had food trucks there as well one was the Merry Dairy ice cream truck.
I wish there was even more to see here! It's a lovely space and gives you a chance to meet some friendly people and some mellow animals. It's not a petting zoo, and the animals are less stressed for it. Bring a lunch, some hand sanitizer and amble about.
Nice place for family day. The entrance is free from 4:00 to 5:00 pm which I found nice!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
This is my personal favorite museum! They always have the best events that are included in Ingenium memberships. They have tons of well taken care of animals that you can get really up and personal with! The animals are always super friendly and my kids love their giant playstructure.
Cute place to visit and see animals. Wish there was more interactive things for kids to do and some snack options. Would go again very clean and beautiful animals. Well maintained groundsVisited onWeekend
The kids had fun seeing and petting some of the farm animals. They also loved participating in the activities like the crafts and sampling the recipes.Visited onWeekendWait timeUp to 10 minReservation recommendedYes
Great place to spend time with family. The staffs are friendly and will be happy to answer if you have any questions. They have a children playground also lots of benches to sit. Great interactive learning session in the learning center too, I wish they had a cafeteria. 4-5pm is free for a visit. Update -- Sundays are extremely busy
We took our kids there for the first time during our trip to Ottawa. The kids said it was their favourite museum ever and wanted to stay there and not leave. They loved getting up close to the farm animals and learning all about different aspects of farming. The hourly demos were very interesting and informative. What a great place to visit! I think it's important these days in our risk averse world to let kids experience a bit of farm life which fulfills one of our basic needs. One tip for visiting for the entire day - should bring your own lunch as they don't have a cafeteria. We didn't know and didn't bring lunch but they were good about letting me run out to grab something and come back in.
