Amazing pastries and sandwiches. Coffee is good. Service is really nice with no attitude but poor. You might find yourself standing at the counter for a bit while two of the staff are chatting 5 feet away making sandwiches. No eye contact or "hold on we will be right with you." That being said I love this place and they are super nice.
Excellent little coffee shop with a decent selection of pastries and sandwiches. The flavor of the espresso and drip coffee is impressive; never had a bad cup. Only drawback is the very limited seating. A must-visit for visitors and residents of JP.
Delicious, Delicious. Everything here looks and smells delicious. They serve decent coffee as well which Is a plus. Small and Cozy, nice atmosphere as well. They serve great european pastries and unbelievable sandwiches. One of the better bakeries in all of boston. Worth a trip off the beaten path. One tip come early for best pastry selection.
Love it. Everything is wonderful. I go in for a latte and inevitably come out with at least one treat. You just can't help it! Great sandwiches too. Also, most of staff not jaded-eye-rolling-holier-than-thou-barista-type, which is refreshing.
Best homemade chai around and their chocolate croissants are easily as good if not better than one you would find in France. I always love the steamy bakery windows and the smell of butter and espresso that follows me out the door.
I feel like all my reviews are gushers, but I just can't stop myself -- I LOVE CANTO 6, and I don't care who knows it. For a tiny space, this bakery packs a wallop; I drag all my out of town guests here and stuff them silly with fresh pastries, cakes, cookies and sandwiches get the Green Street, then send me a fruit basket as thanks. I always get a smile when I'm in line to order, and while the food can take a while to make, there's always wall art to look at and coffee to sip. Heaven!
I just recently moved further away from Canto 6 and I'm so sad! This place is great - I think some people are mad that they raised their prices, but I think the raise is fair for the excellent quality. I like to pop in during the week for a coffee and a small seasonal quiche - weekend employees seem to get overwhelmed by the crowd and service is not as good. But I'm probably just spoiled by the lovely weekday staff!
I had a wonderful Barista, Kaelyn today who quickly helped with the order change of dairy to soy for a cafe au lait, and made a wonderful cappuccino. He was efficient and professional; getting through the line behind me in a matter of minutes. Thanks to all at Canto who make my eating experience highly pleasurable every time I go in.
I usually get sandwiches here, and they are creative and delicious - the Pondside is the winner for me, but you can't go wrong with the Guac in the Park or the Green Street either. Get there early on weekends for a proper selection of pastries, as they go fast. Also "early" is strangely late on weekends - 8:00 am, which can feel torturously late if you are up and jonesing for a good pastry and some caffeine.
Great pastries, good coffee, friendly staff. Tiny neighborhood place. Expect to wait in line, but it moves fast. Only drawback is it's tiny, so tough to find seating.
